Goddammit Maplestory. You are a terrible grindy game that only serves to waste my time. And yet I'm having fun somehow with this latest Big Bang patch. Everything feels more polished, the leveling curve makes more sense, classes have useless skills cut out and stupid skills consolidated and better-organized maps.
Although there are issues that will require a lot of patches, like many map issues, accuracy being a useless stat now that all accuracy is basically based on level, some classes being massively more powerful than others, some classes depending on random drops for half their damage output, some classes getting really tiny boosts to their damage, where already powerhouse classes get huge bonuses, event junk everywhere, maps being perhaps a bit boring in comparison to older ones and much of the new stuff being confusing, almost requiring a guide for a lot of this.
Blerg I dunno. I'm cautious, but this is a major step in the right direction. They already dropped the curve like a year ago, and they did it again. Getting to the finals levels takes half as much, and earlier parts of the curve are like 60% reduced. Progress is visible and excellent. I just hope I don't hit another solid grindy wall, or at least that that wall has enough garnish to justify itself.
So that's what happened to you, stuck in a tree...
