Okay one thing I've figured out, if I feel bad when a villain dies that definitely means I liked them, usually the villain dies so when one does and I'm like, "Man, that guy was cool and/or misunderstood" I know the writers did it right. This isn't some draco in leather pants either.
I would post something about one of the FMA:B villains dying but it's a major death spoiler and I don't even want to say what it is. Pretty sad though if you think about it, poor guy.
