General Discussion / Re: I like anime, do you like anime?

Bah, I disagree.  The point is it's not suppose to "end" but ENTERTAIN.

Although, One Piece is suppose to end eventually.  It's like halfway or something.

It's not so bad if you started watching at the beginning, but watching 450+ episodes just to catch up is a bit much.

That's something completely different.  Doesn't make the show bad.

To copy a quote directly,
"# One Piece. Holy crap, One Piece. Add the Kudzu Plot  and Loads And Loads Of Characters, and you'll understand why it can be hard to catch up with the story.

    * The sheer length and density of the plot can be so intimidating, it's tempting to skim really fast or skip whole chapters, often leading to missing a bunch of important details while skimming over earlier volumes that turn out to be really important later. Trust me, everyone has probably done it. "

Tell me you're sorry.

I seriously don't know what i'm meant to be apologising about.

Fine then, I don't care.

1.  I'm not save scumming.

This is probably a good idea.  You can easily get addicted to save-scumming, when watching your squaddies drop like the nameless flies they are is half the point of the game.  You should make occasional back-saves though, in case you get base-raided by a snakeman battleship in March, like what happened to me once.

... I'm playing on Begineer, but...
2.  I have never won so why not start easier?

This is just dumb though.  The game is virtually the same at all difficulty levels, especially in combat.  But at Superhuman, the AI tries to play by some strategy, so it's actually worth playing.

As for advice, I have very little.  Make medkits your first priority - casualties are to be expected, but nothing is more infuriating than watching your kickass Captain bleed out from a 1-point wound.  Blow the crap out of all structures all the time - if it isn't Elerium or one of your own squaddies, it is worthless to you, including civilians.  Establish crossing lanes of fire, and always have a back-up squad.  Get power armor as soon as possible.  Don't even bother attacking bases or large ships until you have that armor.

Yeah I'm researching all that stuff.

Also,

A group of people go to Vegas and do something really bad, they end up guilt-ridden (except for one) and start going crazy when they get back home.

Very Bad Things.

Bingo, I wasn't expecting a right answer NEXT POST.

Also, that movie wasn't that good for me, the psychopath guy had very good acting though.

I'm going to beat XCOM: UFO Defense.  I'm going to do it, that's my goal right now.  I've got about a hour in and I'm playing on Begineer, but...

1.  I'm not save scumming.
2.  I have never won so why not start easier?

Also, a question for you all.  Have any of you ever beat XCOM and have any advice?

If you haven't already, watch the Yu-gi-oh and Dragon Ball Z abridged series.

They are hilarious.

You and Toonyman, for the reasons stated above, and maybe Org, since he is quite experienced.

Could you answer both of your questions yourself?

Also, WIFOM?

Talking to me?

WIFOM is Wine In Front Of Me from The Princess Bride, it's when well...here.

Telling someone to hunt mafia isn't scummy.

That's exactly what they want you to think.

Going straight to protect your scum buddy, eh?

You're being cautious and paranoid, stop trying to spread WIFOM.

Turns out that yesterday was the Sabbath, so the biking assholes were probably heckling anyone they saw walking around who looked the least bit Jewish.

I wish I understood why people do this.

I saw a ton of people in bikes as well, I was in  car and stuff though.  Wait, they may have been jogging?
