If I heard of Homestuck a year earlier I would be like, "What is this dude smoking, I want some of that."

Isn't Grandpa Harely dead in that moment of time?

$100 Andrew just winged this and is now looking at the best theory from the forums.

There's been a huge rush of fresh, young, liberal teachers now as well.

Obviously you need SOME kind of schooling, but the authoritarian, super-disciplined, overly formal kind I have gotten the impression the US has sound pretty damn bad. Having kinds forced to treat their teachers as infallible, omniscient royalties lead to all sorts of trouble. (note, I don't actually know that much about US schools, so I could have gotten the wrong impression.)
What?  I've personally told a teacher to his face I didn't like the way he taught and nothing bad happened to me.

Now, not that I have any experience whatsoever in the subject, but I think the US schools are totally selling our children into slavery.
I'm no slave.

I second that US school sounds a damn lot like slavery.

It's NOT slavery.  How do you expect to have a successful career if you don't attend anything educational?

How am I suppose to be become a Electrical Engineer if I don't finish High School and then College?

Comedy anime and manga with Japanese trying to speak English is funny  :)
It seems to vary from voice actor to voice actor - some of them actually sound only slightly awkward in English.  Then again, some, on the other hand...

That didn't even sound English.
