Ah, what the heck.  You clean the knife the best you can with your shirt.  It looks....OK.  It's not that clean, maybe you should clean it more thoroughly before letting it touch your food?  Like with water?

You continue withi your endeavors, the inside is hard, but not as tough as that thick skin.  The butt area is softer too.  You discard all the bad parts of the bear nearby.  You're at the muscle and organs now.  You lean forward and take a good sniff of the bear, it smells foul, but not like a dead animal, atleast not yet.  You dream about eating the bear and about how tasty it would be.

Not knowing what to do, our young protagonist decides to cut a hole in the bear's ass.  He grabs his knife firming--oh wait, the bear has his ass against the ground.  You try to push him over a bit to get some room, the bear is HEAVY, but you manage to tilit him a bit and make him fall onto his side, exposing your treasure, you hold your knife firming and start slicing a hole around his butt.  It's kinda gross, but you continue!  Waste starts to fall out, it looks like shit.  You back off in disgust for a moment to gain your composure.  His droppings are full of what looks like, well you don't rightly know.  Animals maybe?  Hmmm....  It smells freakin' gross right now.

You let the hunter guy run off, he's really fast anyway.  You check the bear corpse.  It's dead alright, looks like alot of meat that you have no idea in how to prepare, or save for that matter.  You don't think you could even cut through its tough skin with that measly knife of yours.  That reminds you, the writing on the box!  You walk over and move your face real close like to it.

It reads, "Test #84."

That makes you cringe a little.

You guess you can't read the note, it's too risky.  You are about to back off slowly when *BANG* a gunshot rings through the air.  It connects with the bear right into the closed eye socket.  The bear jumps up quickly, but then slumps over, dead.

"Good shot I might say."  Says a voice nearby.  You turn to look.

A man in "safari" clothes, if that's the word, comes out from behind a thick shrub nearby.  He isn't suprised by your presence, you don't even think he notices you.  As he walks to the now dead bear, you shout out some greeting to him, "Hey you!"  You say.  He finally notices you.

"Oh, you must be the new one." He says softly.

"New what?"  You respond in surprise.

"Nevermind."  He keeps walking ahead and reaches the bear, cautiously he approaches just in case.  He looks like he's been doing this his whole life.

You approach him and say, "Why am I here?!"

The man glances away for a minute,  "I can't tell you."

"Why not!?"  You don't want to be here any longer.

"Sorry, I need to go, bye now."  He glances at his prize, thinks twice and runs off to the west.  Boy he's fast.
