It's extremely bizarre because Egan and Sofanthiel were Mafia partners, so whoever "merged" NQT and Sofanthiel together meant Egan was going to kill their own partner, which seems like an odd decision if the merger is Mafia. I SUPPOSE it's possible NQT is also Mafia and because he knew he couldn't be killed (he survived the kill attempt, after all), then this N1 play was some absolutely stupid gambit where Mafia!Egan tries to "kill" both Mafia!NQT and Mafia!Sofanthiel which both fail because of reasons to...make themselves look like victims? Instead of just killing two town players with this busted "merge" ability? This is why I don't buy that theory. At the same time though I don't understand why The Merger would target NQT and Sofanthiel on N1 in the first place instead of higher profile players.

Just to make my displeasure completely clear, I legitimately would not have joined if warned ahead of time that this would be a game where people can catch post restrictions.

I think post restrictions are complete bullshit honestly.

I've been public about my information-gathering nature. It makes zero sense for scum to force me to inspect them. I do not trust my night results from last night, and would prefer to lynch based on other things today. I'll see about possible ways to resolve things on future nights.

Whatever reason the double-action or merges are happening: it's by a party or someone who wants to remain hidden, so they're scum.

If they really are double-actioning people, then this player is probably Mafia alongside Sofanthiel, because they wouldn't just randomly allow Sofanthiel to banish two people. This person would know Sofanthiel can banish two players with their double-action and plan accordingly. In other words, there's at least one more Mafia player.

The absence of a nightkill is probably because the last mafia member(s) is wary of tracking and other actions or because they're doing it arsonist style(BHK maybe). I'm still waiting for BHK and knightwing to claim their actions.

This is assuming there's only one scum team with a kill. If the game really is just a big single Mafia team (it would be what, 5 Mafia players?) then I want to believe there's a SK which I guess points to BlackHeart, but I don't believe that's the case here.

If what I'm thinking that NQT said is true, then I'm starting to suspect that the non-Mafia scum team tried to kill me and Imp last night in one attempt and failed because I protected us both.

I don't see a world where NQT is ever Mafia here. Mafia!Egan most likely tried to kill them on N1 (although Egan probably ended up targeting Sofantheil instead because of unclaimed shenanigans) and if we believe NQT then someone tried to kill NQT on N1.

We have players that seem to be clearly being 'merged' sometimes, with nobody claiming that ability.  But I think Esteemed notquitethere and Esteemed sofanthiel were possibly merged N1, and that Esteemed CrystalizedMire and Esteemed Knightwing64 were possibly merged N2.

I am unsure we can rule out either CrystalizedMire or Knightwing64 from being of any alignment, since we now have reason to believe that the Esteemed Egan_BW may indeed have killed the Esteemed sofanthiel N1 - or have we ruled that out?

But there's some significant whammying going on from what I see, and some of it may be harming scum, but why I am unsure.  Not understanding their abilities?  Someone able to directly mess them up (another scum team?  A third party?  A very artful townie?)
