I was going to do that, but I'm not poetic and wasn't feeling very clever.

You can't put me down by saying I'm not myself, although I will likely accept any multiplayer offer if I'm free and want to play.

I think it's just as fair to list reasons why a game isn't notable, or at least, reasons why a game could be a bad choice. Things such as awful play on both sides, awful play on one side, RNG determining a game, exploitative meta, or a setup that plays out the same.

To me, a notable game should have three certain characteristics:
1. High quality play overall. A game should showcase great skill among most players.
2. Closeness. A game should come down to a final, decisive moment where one side triumphs over the other.
3. Uniqueness. A game should be fresh, never before seen plays or metas, seldom seen outcomes.

Not every game is going to be like this, or be as notable in every way, but this is how I determine what is good in a game when it's over.

A lot of games here are very close, and do come down to the last day, but I don't think the steps that led to that point were very convincing. It wasn't two sides equally matched, but either town or mafia playing like complete ass and either lucking their way to victory or completely wasting their OPness. In the case of Super10 you had an overpowered incompetent town that managed to nag two braindead third-party roles while being completely sideswiped by a third third-party being converted. The only two players who played very well were Web and 4mask, the closeness was due to embarrassingly bad town play and reads, and this sort of Supernatural outcome has happened multiple times.

I might be biased, but Election definitely seems notable to me.
This was good, I agree. The only downside was Caz not being there at the end.

EDIT:
I really feel Limerick Mafia should be a notable game under the Vanilla or Classic setup category.

This game is old enough (2013/2014) so even though I'm a player in it I think it showcases everything a notable game should have.

A standard JK9++ setup that contained humorous limerick flavor, three vig claims (one from each alignment), deceptive mafia play, gambit town play, and a final climactic 3p lylo as a result.

Town lynched not town half the time.
The dreamwalkers received nothing.
The doctor saved nobody.
The sage was killed by a serial killer who insanely claimed the kill the following day instead of playing to their wincon.
The priest basically didn't play and was a guaranteed lynch choice the entire game aka free lylo breaker.
The knight claimed on D1 for no reason.

Mafia play was good.

I don't think anything else was.

Winning off a Lucky lynch?

Third party SKs should fail to convert or lose their kill.

I'm definitely biased but Supernatural 10?
You mean mafia winning Super again from recruiting a killing role and being able to double kill at night, again?

Definitely add Wild West Mafia.

BYORs are stupid so I'm glad they're in their own category.

Okay I'll do it.

I already have a MU account from 2015, almost certainly because of the Season 2 thread, so I'll use that.

I need a bio if anybody has choice words for me to add.

NATIONALITY: USA
STARTED PLAYING MAFIA: 2009
HAVE PLAYED MAFIA ON THE FOLLOWING SITES: Bay12

BIO:
[Insert whatever information or fun facts that you wish here. Talk about your mafia-related accolades, impressive stats, fun anecdotes, favorite role to play, strengths and weaknesses, your approach to the game, other players' quotes about you, or take out the piss on the whole thing and make some jokes. The ball is entirely in your court, this will be how you present yourself to your fellow competitors and to the many spectating communities.]

Feel free to enlist the help of your community to make this bio.

I guess a fun fact is I had just played through the Ace Attorney games for the first time before playing mafia. Apollo Justice was the newest game at that time...and I'm still playing AA as Case 3 of Dai Gyakuten Saiban 2 (Great Turnabout 2) was translated this month by Scarlet Study. How things haven't changed.

I've never replaced out of a game though so that's effectively a bow out. Web should go if he wants to do it more. I don't care either way as long as I'm not in more than one game at a time.

I think most people can agree that reading somebody you've never played with before is more challenging, but at least this should be the case for most players there. I'm also highly competitive and would expect the same from my peers.

Some of the games wouldn't start until early July if timing is an issue.

If winrate is a factor between me and Web, well...I'm at a 25% win rate currently if you remove blowout wins.

Season 2 - 2015: NQT
Season 3 - 2016: Teneb - replaced out with NQT
Season 6 - 2019: NQT
Hmmm...

I'll nominate Webadict and 4maskwolf.

I barely remember the Season 2 one in 2015.

Haa the prestige of being King of All Mafia Everywhere~

Do players actually bring their A game to this? I suppose charisma is a genuine factor in mafia skill.

I'll start the game on Monday.
I hate to do this to ya, but I gotta out in that case. I'm massively behind on things and was counting on a breather while signups happened.
8 players isn't enough for a satisfying setup so maybe don't start on Monday?

We don't need a full 15 players, but it would be more interesting with at least 12 players or a bare minimum of 9 players.

I don't think I'll join this game - lack of roleflips would severely fuck with my deductive process. I'll have fun watching, though.
Heh, you seemed to do fine in Revolution III.
This is true they are similar.

But the point is that rarely do people roleflip in real life.
Woke.

EDIT: I swear, some of my edits aren't appearing as edits.  Maybe I can mod a message that hasn't been read by anyone without the forum flagging it?
You can edit your post for about 1-2 minutes before the edit text appears.

I don't recommend ninja editing during an actual game though...
