We don't have the players to do that. Blacklisting three players if the first mission fails is already a lot, adding a fourth player would only make it worse. Team leaders need to include themselves right now.

I have no idea what you mean by "spies only need two wins".

Either team needs 3 mission wins, this is why even if spies choose to lay low on M1 they're shooting themselves in the foot. I think the main reason lay low exists is for when multiple spies are on the same team, but that's still very good for us.

Tric, putting 2 spies on the same team is great if it passes.

If neither sabotage then rebels get a free mission win.
If both spies sabotage then nobody on that team is going on a mission ever again.
Best case is only one spy sabotages, but that still means nobody is going to want to put anybody on that team on a mission again.

In other words, rebels should either:
1. Place themselves with other rebels.
2. Place themselves with as many spies as possible.

I'm not passing a team that doesn't follow this motivation.

On the flipside, a spy made team has one goal in mind:
1. Place self on team with only rebels.

A spy isn't going to place other spies on their team, because any number of sabotages will blacklist the members of that team.

Most importantly TEAMS THAT DON'T INCLUDE THE PERSON MAKING THE TEAM IS AN IMMEDIATE FAIL

Team leaders need to include themselves on the team, this is incredibly important to corner team leader spies.

3738
I would pass it.

3739
That was far too many fails...

Okay Blue push the same team again. I'll pass it.

3740
Huh, why did ToonyMan's vote not show up?
I have no idea. I'm voting PASS.

So all that remains are:

Bluarian, who's on the team and should vote PASS.
Knightwing, who's too busy watching Scrubs now.
Vector, who's on the fence.

We need 2 votes to hammer either way.

3741
Sounds to me like you're signaling Vector.

Pass the mission.

3742
there

won't be any

or there will be 2 and it's easy street

3743
No you guys gotta PASS the mission.

PASS the mission. PASS iiiiiit

I think there's a very high chance the mission has 0 sabotages.

3744
My point is still valid - I think you're covering for Toony's ass.
Uh yeah, Webadict is the Bodyguard and confirms me!

This gives the benefit of clearing myself (at the cost of giving the rebels a mission win), but more importantly it's a strategy to try to figure out who the Commander is and Web thinks that is how I would play as a spy. The Commander would never want to pass the mission because there's one spy on the team. It's high risk, high reward.
Honestly, it seems low-risk to me? Confirming yourself is always a good move as scum?
I think giving up a Mission win to the other team is inherently risky and betting it all on guessing the Commander is high risk.

I agree that confirming yourself as a possible rebel is a positive, but these two points detract from it. Hence high risk, high reward.

3745
Why do you think I proposed my team 20 minutes into the Day start FoU?

I already know almost everything.

3746
If Toony and I were both Spies, I'm willing to think that they'd put me in the first mission with them, since, again, we would be aiming hard for the Commander win.
Hey webadict, that sounds kinda like you might be giving a signal as a spy to a spy.  Toony hadn't said anything about aiming hard for the Commander win.
Isn't that the famous "If I was a spy" gambit that a spy would use to communicate?
What Webadict is saying is that if I were a spy he'd expect me to put two rebels on my team and then "lay low" during Mission 1.

It's a valid tactic, and one I can't disprove.

3747
Not like we're ever get to me, but.
I'd go Jack, Vector, probably Knightwing? Blue sheeping is a bit weird. Maybe Fal in a pinch.
Picking myself is obvious, but I doubt you want to here that.
Haha Jack? Jim? Oh you mean EuchreJack.

Why aren't you including yourself on the team? Why does it matter what others think? Nobody has been mechanically proven as possible spy.

If I had to pick a team right now, it'd be webadict, ToonyMan, and Jim Groovester. I'm just waiting for Jim's Commander claim to confirm it.
Why aren't you including yourself on a Mission 1 team?

I could understand if this was a later mission and you had been on a team that was sabotaged, but that isn't the case here. We are all on equal footings.

3748
I don't know who the Bodyguard is in the rebels though. It'd be cool if they could come out and claim...
How exactly would that benefit the rebels?  It would just be one less rebel that might be the Commander.  Sounds like it would help the Spies.
The same way me coming out as the Commander benefits the rebels.

3749
So both you and Toony are spies then, good to know. Glad I failed this mission choice.
Here's the thing Tric.

If I'm lying about being the Commander, the real Commander knows this and also knows I'm a rebel trying to protect them.

Calling me a spy is an incredibly stupid play as the Commander (why not just say you believe me?) which means you're either a very foolish rebel or a spy. What do you think I have written down in my notes for you?

3750
Does the commander actually have a list of who is or isn't a rebel? And being so confident makes me think you are a commander or a spy. In the first case, that's not a good thing. In the second, you're lying.
Yes, I have a list of the spy team.

I don't know who the Bodyguard is in the rebels though. It'd be cool if they could come out and claim...

A lot of stuff, but I am asking a legitimate question here. As is his reasoning doesn't make any sense, he says that any who vote to fail it are spies, and is super confident there aren't any. If he has a list, he's a spy, if he doesn't, his reasoning falls apart. I'm just wondering if the Commander does have such a list, but if so there is no reason he should open like that. It's way too obvious.
What, are you saying I'm not the Commander?

I'm curious if any spies would be boldfaced enough to fail my team in front of me.
