Life Advice / Re: Roseheart's Graveyard

I mean, the sooner you can support yourself the better. This means living somewhere that makes you comfortable, having a way to get to work (not really necessary in most jobs right now, but will still be relevant in the future), and having a reliable income. As someone with shitty criminal parents who didn't support me I had to seek the help of others, don't be ashamed of doing this if you're in trouble, but also don't shirk responsibility when it inevitably falls on your head.

I don't expect most non-mafia forum games to actually finish. Heck, every non-mafia forum game I ran here never finished. This was because they were overly ambitious and vague in scope. On the other hand, every mafia game I've ever run has finished. I think scale and scope is important for creating a game. The more open-ended it is, the more challenging it will be to run.

Personally I don't agree with most Youtube/Twitch/Patreon incomes unless the quality is professional and consistent. If you want that as a secondary income that's fine, but I would not rely on the fickleness of internet donation money.

Why was your autism diagnosis so late? I've always seen diagnoses like that happen during public school. Your weren't diagnosed and sheltered until literally living on the streets?

Cells At Work Season 2 is finally out on CR, and more importantly, Cells At Work BLACK is coming out alongside it. It's the perfect one-two punch of wholesome & cute utopia, then hopeless & miserable dystopia.

Not just the themes and moods, but the art styles are different too, and they just play off eachother so perfectly. I'm really looking forward to keeping up on both of them.
Would Black just be the Osmosis Jones movie?

I think your Character Creation section is bugged. It should be that you select your one profession or if you want get two random professions (or one random profession at level 2) plus a random flaw.

Action Sequence also isn't right for Night 0.

Are you assigning alignments randomly or picking players after seeing their roles to have the most balanced setup?

Nothing like themed games to make players more cultured.

I saw T1 and T2 as a little John Connor kid which was definitely not appropriate for my age, but I think the films hold up still as an adult.

Now we need some other scifi themed games like Alien, RoboCop, Total Recall, Starship Troopers...

The one downside to this, of course, is that knowing Terminator lore would also have made this game more doable. If that's the case, having breadcrumbs to help deduce hidden teammates (Like Sarah Connor and Kyle Reese both being in the game and aligned) would be a great use of opening flavor.
Spoiler: Yep (click to show/hide)

Crazy amount of flavor.

No more bastard games.

I think we should have a more friendly game next at least, since some new players have shown interest in joining a game.

There were two "town" factions trying to get Sarah Connor. The eco party were the standard ones that wanted to lynch her. The seducer party wanted to get her at night.
Secretdorf, Tric, and Luckyowl were all vanilla townies though? They could win both ways, yes?
I'm very confused :'(
Oh, right.

I don't know anymore. Three townies that could either side with X eco party people or Y seducer party people?

In that case that would leave either one eco party player and two seducers, or two eco party players and one seducer. Doesn't sound right though.

That means probably four players that would want to lynch Sarah Connor...unless the VTs sided with the seducers in which case they wouldn't care and the eco party would have no hope of winning.

The game should've been subtitled as "Fuck this Town in particular."
"Fuck Day 3 Webadict Now"

What was the Eco Party wincon, anyway? I never quite understood that.

Webadict's valid complaint is that means only three players wanted to lynch Sarah Connor during the day.

Three players, out of nine. How does the eco party win that?

We had, in this game, the following:
1 Mafia Roleblocker
1 Mafioso
1 Survivor Watcher
1 Mafia-Executioner One-Shot Vigilante Role Cop
1 Mafia-Executioner Combined Doctor Psychologist
1 Cult Leader/something
3 Vanilla Townies
That's... That's not really a balanced game.
It looks like there were 2 mafia, 1 third-party, and 6 town that were mutually exclusively cut in half.

I do agree that basically means this was a four faction game with only 3 townies.

At best 3 town could win (either the seducer side or the vanilla side), but I think this was hinted at pretty clearly by Skynet?

NQT was obvscum pushing the idea that today wasn't lylo when it CLEARLY WAS.
Haha sure, but the town didn't officially know there was a two-person resistance team.
That was an obvious conclusion to make though. 9 players means 2 mafia. No mafia had died and anybody willing to push that narrative are scummy.

Edit:
Also, hey Starver :)
Neat to see we had some spectators for this one. ToonyMan, Starver, 4maskwolf, Tiruin!
I am always watching.

Spoiler: My response (click to show/hide)

I'm quite proud of guessing the exact scum team at least. Why did nobody think of Kyle? I don't blame mafia for not revealing anything, but town really should have at least watched the first movie.

I thought Vector and NQT were mafia because Vector was so "convinced" by FOU's miller flip when they died at night.

MAFIA WOULD BE THE ONE THAT KILLED FOU AT NIGHT. THAT MEANS THEY'RE NOT MAFIA.

I'll post my PM I sent Skynet at the start of the game in a bit.

NQT was obvscum pushing the idea that today wasn't lylo when it CLEARLY WAS.
