The two protagonists are separated by 17 years

There was no "missing" people, they were simply not there.  Well, for most of them

That's amaaaazing.  I had the thought that a lot of the people don't even match up, okay let's try to sort this.


When you're playing as Takeshi (Sora and Tsugumi's routes):
This is the 17 years prior one.  We don't really have any idea what Takeshi looks like since we're playing as him.

But he's probably Sara and Kid B's father somehow?  Blaergh.  Either way when you're playing as Takeshi you always die.  And would have to get Tsugumi pregnant with fraternal twins?  But then there's Coco who calls herself a sun person.

Anyway the biggest proof Tsugumi is Sara and Kid B's mother is her infravision.  It's the Cure Virus man.  Also Sara and Kid B aren't here 17 years ago.

Anyway characters for 17 years prior:

Takeshi A - yes there are two Takeshi's too I guess?  Probably Sara and Kid B's father?  He's in Sara's pendant.
You - it's the future You's mother, the one you see as 34 years old at the end of You's route when you're Kid A.  They have different full names slightly.
Sora - she's the AI so she doesn't age or anything, I'm guessing she's a different AI 17 years later thanks to LeMU breaking?  Well, I guess in Sora's route Takeshi A uploads her data onto a terabyte disc
Tsugumi - gotta be the same Tsugumi in both, she has the Cure Virus so she doesn't age, don't see why she wouldn't be the same person.  It makes me angry that Sora and Tsugumi don't reveal anything though.
Coco - she has ESP and calls herself a sun person.  Can contact Kid B 17 years in the future but nobody else has seen that vision yet.  I'd like to see Sara or Tsugumi look at her...
Kid A - I have no idea, none  Who are you Kid A???

then all of them escape except for Takeshi A (and Sora I guess), Tsugumi has Sara and Kid B.  You adopts...You (she would be one years old) as her daughter.  What the fuck

Oh and back then is the only time the group head down to HIMMEL and it's also the only time the TB-virus ever comes into play.  The last surviving researcher was probably Coco's dad?  I don't know

Okay and then 17 years pass

LeMU was built again it looks like.  We never go into HIMMEL in these routes because 34 year old You and a male scientist (Kid A?) contact them and they all escape safely (although in Sara's route Kid B and Sara run off).


Kid B is the protagonist now (You and Sara's routes):

Takeshi B - ....who are you??  Also survives these times. (the only game where saying 'these times' is correct)
You - a different You, younger.  Wants to find out about her missing father and mother although finds out they died.  Father was 17 years ago and Mother was 15 years ago.
Sora - same AI possibly.  Very obviously hiding the fact this has all happened before.
Tsugumi - gotta be the same Tsugumi as last time too.  Wouldn't that mean she's hanging out with her children?  This makes me believe that the second time is all a set-up.  Or it's possible she doesn't want to get close to them because they'll just outgrow her and die.  :\
Sara - Tsugumi and Takeshi A's daughter?  Fraternal twins with Kid B.  Looks like they have infravision like their mother but aren't immortal since well, aging.
Kid B - complete badass, confused as much as I am. Sara says his name is Hokuto.
