I did it in 10 minutes.  I would have been roasted.  If there was a six minute timer I would have freaked out.

So...decided to go through Door 5, then Door 8 for my 4th playthrough.

This is where the fun begins.

Both Lotus and Clover get much more detailed dialogue that I never saw before thanks to doing Door 4 first like some kind of idiot.  Door 5 is definitely the way to go with this, especially considering the 'red herring safe', we'll get back to that.  Anyway, Lotus blabs about even more mind telepathy crap like I wasn't already wavering around The Matrix theory already.

Clover however, has very very important information about our friend Snake (who should have his guts thrown about in the shower room already) in that Snake was in a car accident when he was younger and that was why he went blind.  He also had to have his left arm amputated.  The left arm he has right now is a prosthetic.  I already mentioned this in my previous spoiler but the 'Snake' in the shower room HAS A REAL BROKEN LEFT ARM which is very mysterious indeed.  Junpei doesn't draw any conclusion to that right now.

After solving the uh Laboratory Room I think everything proceeds like normal, we find Snake's corpse and then we start drawing lots for what Door to go to.  I had a lot of trouble here.  I chose Door 2 first, which changes a few lines but ultimately you just get the Submarine Ending again.  Then I chose Door 1 next which was pretty much identical and I got the Axe Ending again.  After some trepidation I decided I would try Door 6 and do those puzzles all over again argh.

I'm so glad I did.

Right off the bat in the Steam Engine Room Santa's speech about his sister is much longer and we get more telepathy garbage.  We also learn that Santa's Sister died nine years ago.  Santa is actually a really caring Nii-san but I guess it didn't end happily.  :[

And then the Warehouse Room, oh gog the Warehouse Room.  Here we get the biggest bombshell in the game I have ever heard so far.  Junpei collects all of the photo IDs like usual when June suddenly collapses!  Which is different.  Due to the change in spacetime Junpei tells Ace to finish up with the photo ID puzzle and goes to June and Santa.

Here is when everything starts to spiral out of control.

Santa just nonchalantly states that Ace is the CEO of Cradle Pharmaceutical.  In other words, a big bad villain type of guy.  Fuuuuuuuuck.  Well thanks for this random piece of information Santa!  Although I'm glad my theories are falling into place.

The reason behind this is pretty simple.  It's because I went in Door 5 first.  Lotus and Clover talked to me because I went in Door 5.  Now Santa is dropping this information on me because he eavesdropped on Ace when they were in Door 4.

Junpei walks back to Ace and sees him struggling deeply with the photo ID 'puzzle' if you can even call it that.  The reason is pretty obvious, even Lotus went over it.  Ace has prosopagnosia.  Which sounds like something straight out of Detective Conan but it's basically he can't remember people by their faces at all and goes by other things like voices and clothes and hair.  After getting depressed and walking off Junpei finishes it up and solves that fucking box puzzle and the four of them open to coffin to get the Uranus Keycard and Junpei leaves the golden revolver like usually yaddhayaddha they leave the Warehouse Room.

Now.

My very first playthrough I did Door 4, Door 8, and then Door 6 and it was really cut short.  Character's dialogue was shorter and it's weird how that works but whatever.  We come back to find Seven and Lotus, Clover goes missing just like she usually does.  In the Knife Ending, which I got my first playthrough, you split up with June and head to the E deck, only to find a dead Lotus and a dead Junpei.

Junpei and June decide to head to the Shower Room to see if Clover is hiding where her dead brother is.  This is radically different.  My guess is that because I went through Door 5 first I was able to bond more with Clover and also just get lucky with pieces of information.  In either case, Junpei finally realizes what I've been pulling my hair out forever about.  Junpei realizes THAT'S NOT THE REAL SNAKE.

Dun dun dun

It's pretty amazing.  Next Junpei will actually see if the Ninth Man's bracelet is gone or someth---HOLY SHIT THAT IS EXACTLY WHAT JUNPEI DOES.

Let me back up a bit, after June and Junpei leave the Shower Room Seven runs up to them pale and asks "Where the hell where you guys?!" and brings us to the First Class Room, otherwise known as the Door 5 room.  Everybody is there already and Seven leads us to the bathroom there only to find...a dead Clover.


Junpei immediately goes into the Door 5 hallway to check the Ninth Man's corpse, throws up, and then notices the Nine Bracelet is missing.  Everything is falling into place.  Seven and Junpei do some investigating and decipher Clover's riddle which gives them to code to OPEN THE SAFE THAT COULD NEVER BE OPENED.

Inside was a single piece of paper with a few facts listed.

The gist is, Snake was in the previous Nonary Game nine years ago.  This is getting weird...

Junpei gathers everybody in the First Class Room and tells them to head to the large Hospital Room, he finally understand what's going on here.  Or at least, he knows who the culprit is.  At a boy Junpei.

Now this is pretty awesome.  I admit it started kind of weird and sudden but now Junpei is finally in the ballgame.  No more getting fucking backstabbed.  Time to confront culprit-san for the scum he really is.

And that is exactly what he does.

YOU ARE THE KILLER, ACE!!!

Junpei is an amazing Prosecutor.  He tricks up Ace so much Ace shouldn't even be able to tell left from right.

He even makes Ace realize that the Snake he killed was an impostor that Junpei dubs 'Guy X'.

Personally I don't believe Ace is Zero now.  Snake could very possibly be Zero somehow!  It's freakin' confusing.  Not really sure where the hell 'Guy X' came from.  It's weird.  He also killed Clover to keep her mouth shut, bastard.  He most definitely killed Junpei and Lotus in the Knife Ending.

He even killed the Ninth Man, yes.  Ace killed the Ninth Man because Bird Nest recognized Ace so Ace told him to go into Door 5 by himself as a very cruel lie.  Ace was the one to set up the first Nonary Game I believe. 


...Anyway after all that stuff, Ace breaks down.

It's fucking creepy.

After some fitting words he reveals he has the Nine Bracelet (perfect bracelet for murder) and then takes Lotus hostage with the golden revolver.  Good job Junpei.  He flees and heads to the 9 doors with Lotus.  1+9+8=18 1+8=9

June starts going into heat again so Santa watches her while Junpei and Seven run out of the hospital room to hunt down Ace (hell yeah).  By the time we get there it's too late though and one of the 9 doors is already occupied.  :[

We hear the coffin banging so we put that safe code in and.....................

And I stopped there.  Let's see what happens tomorrow!  Aren't Winter Breaks great?

So I'm doing Door 8 again in my 4th playthrough.  And this time when Lotus is on the computer she actually has a lot of new dialogue that talks about guess what, more mind telepathy shit.

This is like the 4th or 5th character to talk about mind telepathy shit.  My guess?

IT'S THE MATRIX

No seriously.  The reason they are able to be on this boat is actually because Zero is projecting their brain into these 'bodies'.  All of the windows are blocked with iron blocks because there isn't actually anything out there.  Nothingness.

I don't really have anything else to say, that's about it.


...Kind of curious that the safe in Door 5 is completely unused...we might have a use for it later maybe??

Since I went through Door 5 and then Door 8 Clover is actually telling me new stuff as well!  Snake wasn't born blind, he got in a car accident and lost his sight and his left arm.

Snake's left arm is fake.

I need to see his corpse again.  I distinctly remember a left ulna bone jutting out.  If that is the case we are really in some deep shit.


OH GOG I WAS RIGHT

SNAKE IS EITHER AN IMPOSTOR OR ANOTHER BODY OF SNAKE WITH HIS MIND BROUGHT TO IT

I'm gonna call this the Axe Route, since the ending picture is an Axe.  I assume you get this by taking either door 4 or 5, then either door 7 or 8, and then door 1 finally.  It definitely has a few revelations.

Axe Route  (listed as a BAD END)
1.  There is a dead 'captain' in the door 1 room wearing a Zero bracelet.  I believe he is a decoy to hide the true Zero.
2.  Clover goes crazy and minagoroshi's ALMOST EVERYONE (due to thinking Santa and Seven killed Snake and June was just in the way).  I believe she is not Zero and just went Hinamizawa Syndrome on everybody.
3.  Clover says she's going to use the 0, 4, and 5 bracelets to leave the 9 door, this is evidence that Ace did in fact use the 9 bracelet to murder Snake.
4.  After Clover, June, Santa, and Seven go to door 2 Ace 'wants to show' Lotus something and then me.  They leave and Junpei never learns what happens because Clover comes back.
5.  We never learn that there is two 9 doors in this route, Clover makes everybody go to door 2 first.  Not that it matters, they wouldn't be able to make two 9 digital roots and all escape anyway.
5.  Also interestingly this is the only ending I have where the person who kills Junpei is clearly shown.

Status at the point of Junpei's death:
Ace and Lotus went somewhere.
Clover is heading to the nine doors.
Ninth Man is exploded, Snake is exploded.
Everyone else was Axe'd to death by Clover.


This is actually kind of neat let me do the other two routes I have.


Knife Route  (listed as a BAD END)
Go through door 4 or 5, then door 7 or 8, then go through door 6.
1.  You discover that there is two 9 doors and that the warehouse has photo IDs of the characters with the 1-9 bracelets.
2.  Seven, Lotus, and Clover go through door 1 and we learn that Clover disappeared.
3.  After splitting up to search for her quickly Junpei stumbles upon a very very freshly killed Lotus on floor E.
4.  He is killed by an unknown source via backstab.  Probably Zero.

Status at the point of Junpei's death:
Ninth Man and Snake are exploded.
Lotus was stabbed by someone.
Clover is missing.

Yeah it's really vague in this ending.


Submarine Route (listed as a THE END...OR IS IT?)
You get this ending by going through door 4 or 5, then door 3.

1.  The most radically different of the endings so far.
2.  You discover Snake's corpse pretty gruesomely.
3.  Nobody actually goes through door 7 or 8 in this which is weeeeeeeeird.
4.  You go through door 2 with Seven and Lotus kind of mandatory.  You also learn a whole heck of a lot about Seven and Lotus' pasts.  Which actually connect with the children...Seven saves all of the children but one I believe and Lotus had twin daughters that were both saved.
5.  When we come back we find Santa, Clover, and Ace dead.  Seven checks Clover's pulse and says she's dead.
6.  The three of us go through the Sun Door without having to use our Sun Key and Junpei finds June dying next to a submarine.  Junpei holds her while she's dying and then notices Seven and Lotus are missing.
7.  Junpei finds Seven and Lotus dead right outside the submarine room.  He's pretty depressed and crazy at this point and decides to just try to leave using the submarine.  Instead as he leans over to grab the hatch he's stabbed in the back...again.  By 'Zero' most likely.

Status at the point of Junpei's death:
Ninth Man and Snake are exploded.
Everybody is killed by 'Zero'.

We never learn of the dead Captain's existence in the Knife or Submarine route.

Ace is still the killer of course.  I've already explained the Knife and Submarine routes so let me explain the Axe route.
Ace kills Lotus when they leave Junpei.  He probably didn't expect (or maybe he did?  he was with us when we searched door 1) Clover to kill everybody and I don't know what he did next but he definitely killed Lotus.  Probably Clover afterwards as well.
