Hey, hi really likes aluminum. If you were a dwarf you would understand. Creating is not always about efficiency.

In previous versions, you can't domesticate anything with Can_Learn.
Common_domestic can still be brought I think even if can_learn iirc if you have common domestic intelligent you can even give it tasks.

I think we all hope for full keyboard support indeed.
Also once it is out we will still be able to redesign key bindings (however some things are strange in the premium too, I can't make "<" work for going down 1 z level, it sometimes, but not always, it sends me to the lowest level instead, with nothing else configured to it)

If you'll believe it, I actually just sorta found it after looking at clang's compiler warnings, total coincidence. It was a bug preventing it from working.

It was a fun thread back in the days, there were also some "serious" project but those were not able to do much...

People talking about UI and dwarf fortress in a thread, what a time to be alive.
Just for my two cents on the "players should have beta tested this before releasing" part.
We do beta test, since almost 20 years now.
And dwarf fortress is probably at halfway finished.
So I don't know what was expected, but I prefer unpolished but evolving, instead a "final polish", then left for dead.

Just a guess but 5 z levels in the raws might mean 6 in total, counting begins often at 0. (0-5 => 6 levels) also if they are that high that means their trunk is that high, how it is graphically represented won't decide if it is the trunk or not, anything above the point of growth is trunk, and the rest is branches /leaves.

Stockpile links work for alcool as the still needs the plants/fruit/mead AND the barrel (large pot), the kitchen does not need any barels,and will work without.
If you want to "insentify" them to use one type of barrel give to a stockpile without any barrel, next to one with the desired barels (maybe in a checkboard) then from there give to one which accepts barrels.

Should have inserted the image directly, as I doubt many people will click on a .ru adress nowadays.
So as a guess you might try to check if your dwarves have bolts, and if so the line of sights.
Do they jump in melee on the goblins or are just watching?

No need to kick, just a stop dumping in the good direction (preferably the hole next to it but your millage might warry depending if you need magma or !!fun!!) and assigning the cart with magma in it is enough. Two stops /hole and you have enough (4) in one go.

I just embarked to a nice place in untamed wilds (the "good" variant)
And it seems to me that those hate civilisation (last time I went there, terraformed as usual and it end badly)
No problem as this time I aim, as a challenge to be less destructive. But to be on the safe side (and still be able to have some above ground corps), do they only mind, wood cutting / fishing. Or do channeling / gathering /constructing trigger mother nature too?

That's a lot of real estate for just one guild. I just do 3x3 and put some gems on a pedestal.
You can get to 10k with just some gems?

The ones you have might just not be interested, as there is a 5% for any creature to be homosexuel. You should capture some more.
If this is something you don't want you can (before generating a world) change the raws for this to be less (or more) by adding the appropriate ORIENTATION tag to the animal(s) of your choosing.
Maybe current fortress raws can be changed too, but I had few luck saving them without compression. Also even that would only apply for future speciments.

Strange, when I made tests with it values not adding to 100 seemed right too (more like a ratio then a %, which per say is a ratio, but one that ads up to 100, I've seen other ratios to work correctly )
