Also, the most famous study, where they allegedly put images of burgers and things into a movie and then reported increased sales of burgers/coke were faked.  Completely untrue.
how do you know it is untrue or not?(ok i don't know either i haven't tested, but somany times we say untrue just because it don't please some interests, i hardly belive all these untrue things ...)

you can put more then 2 dwarf in it ... to be honest you can put wathever you want in a squar (try to pit elephants in it you will see ...) i think DF squars arent euclidien or just the courbe of space-time arent less straith ...

I'd rather not go through that trouble. I've got one level almost full of iron ore and a level below that has (so far) a 12*12 block of malachite ore. That alone should be enough to provide all my civilians with a battleaxe ;)
give them spears instead it is more deadly i think (but needs everyone to hunt)
and for the melt down i think i read it in wiki that it depends on initial bars and it memorize amount alredy melted, so i don't know i am confused now ...

whatever the thing wath would be cool is to have a third tab in wich you can select for all creatures (mod activated too) to wich picture it uses
-first you should add the image files and say the coordinates and it would parse it for you to select
-then you select a creatur entitie and you add to its DEFAULT, PROFESSION, ZOMBI, CHILD... entities an apropriate image.
if you like this idee i can explain it better with images of the window if you want ...

Just as it says. I would very much like to know how I can edit some of the hardcoded aspects in the game (Wagons, AI-built structures, etc.) so I can take a crack at some more complex modding. Anybody got some ideas?

Source code? Toady ain't releasing it. To anybody. You'll have to hack it yourself, and noone will admit to travelling in those circles.
or at leas none admit to travel in those circles ... :D

so DF should put add if more then 30 GFPS so it could make samo more cash for it's developement :D
i'm just saying that it is not important if it is not conscius infact you in lower GFPS you make your brain work instead of your processor ... i need brainwork don't you?

Regardless, roughly 3/4ths of all the carvings in my fortress are an images of "a dwarf striking down a crocodile"

it should come from an other hystorical event, they don't engrave futur too much. just put in the init to show all historical events in fortress mode and you will se what they drowing ...

phisik is a bit different in DF they almost never waste materials they compress it:
if you make trinkets you use 1/3 of a bar becouse you make 3 from 1
if you melt down something you have the 1/3 of a bar come back (that is the only wast but that is for dimensio doors stuff) so even if it don't seems to be correct in wigth 9 trinkets = 1 bar in melt down
for show how it is absurd look this:
a cage made from 3 bars: it melts down to 1 bar
cage = 9 goblets in weigth???

so if human eye can notice up to, " let just say 100 FPS", why the hell can you hide images alredy in a 30 FPS film? they used this methode (if they don't use it now too) to make hided adds in some film. The brain will notice it but you just will want to drnink a coca but you won't realize the image you've seen.
i am not sure but i think you don't notice more if you are a big gamer neither becouse the best FPS game i know is the life so wachin' that should make the best see...
