You shouldn't need anything special, just grab the game and DFHack and Therapist (if you want them) and it should be fine. Getting into the new UI should be straightforward, but you will lose your muscle memory and some parts of the UI are still a bit janky, but it is generally easier to navigate and use than the older versions.

Do both ;), but in all seriousness I don't think it would affect it much, maybe buying on steam or itch would increase engagement and make it marginally more recommended to others? Other than that I can't imagine a difference in how you donate.

Thanks this helps, the RAM usage is still higher than before, but it's much more manageable now :) Very hyped for the Linux release!

Has anyone else had their game start using an extreme amount of RAM when playing? I just tried the latest update and the game uses 3 gigs of ram when I'm playing it. It spikes rapidly when I embark and load a save in an embark.

I'm on Linux and using Proton if anyone things that has something to do with it.

There's no way to entirely avoid the keyboard now. I think Putnam said in an interview that they want to make that less the case, but who knows how long that will take.

So yeah those are gender, romantic, or sexual minorities, so it definitely counts

God this, I'm so mad nobody ever made this the common term, you're the first time I've seen anyone even mention it in like 4 years. It's so much better than actually trying to list everything that could be contained under the acronym. I still try to use it sometimes, but most of the time I end up having to explain what it means all over again.

Had a werepig attack a few months ago, infecting one of my dwarves. Then that dwarf turned into a werepig and killed a few more dwarves. I'm expecting an endless cycle of this until either everyone is dead or there's a single werepig dwarf that kills any new migrants. Either way it'll be Fun!

I also got attacked by a second werepig that was an elven baroness? Interesting, but I'm hoping I won't have that nation declare war on me because I killed one of its feral nobles.
