I'm starting camelfort soon.

Two words: F--K!

"Nothing to eat? Do we have any seeds left? Anything?! Since I'm out of ammo, I guess I could start farming until we get our hands on some new bullets."

Well, shit. That's bad, alrighty. Damn monsters are all over the place. Methinks we should smack some drawbridges in post haste and seal ourselves in, if we can get the farms going again.

Build a roof for the depot so I can stand on it and be safer, perhaps?

...cat me?

Diary of Glacies

I found the 12th ledger, but it's missing six pages and now I have to recount the rocks. Wonderfull.

Recently, one of the new people began to feel creative. The "mood", I guess. I've been helping her claim some pretty materials while feeding Ayrn some rubbish about my inability to find her. After all, she's probably going to make somthing pretty, with the rose quartz I got her.

Meanwhile, that marksdwarf who has nearly killed me on multiple occasions has had his leg broken by an irate Sgt. Pepper. Which reminds me: The grass around the volcano. Bertrand says he got the seeds out of the cloth the elves brought with them. If, perhaps, it's the truth and he has only planted some seeds, that's all very well and good, but somehow I think he has alterior motives. The fool is mad;  he waxes desperate with imagination.

Now I have to wait until the dwarf caravan arrives before I can ask about Jack or Hielo. Depending on how the merchants answer my inquiries, I may be leaving with them, Ayrn and the others be damned.

This looks like it'll be a lot of fun. Hope I don't get perforated/zombified.

I'm not on the ball this afternoon, cut me some slack. :P I've edited the post so it's all proper n stuff now. And V1kt0r/1a always writes his/her name that way. It's just pronounced normally.

Sniper rifle. Dwarf companion causes interesting things when you mess around with gender...and I'd prefer it if my character was heterosexual. And I'd prefer it if I wouldn't run into combat once I've run out of ammo, so please unenlist me when I run out of ammo.

Oh, and as for a name? V1kt0r/V1kt0r1a.

EDIT: you probably want stats, too. Str.:3 Per.:7 End.:6 Char.:5 Int.:5 Agi.:9 Luc.:6 V1kt0r/1a is very good at sitting still for extended periods of time hiding under a rock and blasting the instant an enemy makes itself apparent. Age? Umm....mid thirties. Slightly grey hair, lanky build. wears silly looking red goggles and a scarf. Sniping gunnery 5/ambusher 5.

I'd liike a hunter. He/she would be a highly energetic yet patient individual with an overriding desire to aquire frags.

I picked the "great or better rooms" option. I figuired it would be impressive as all hell considering the average fort gets 100 or so dwarves before sputtering out.

Also, if a dwarf grabs something you don't want, you can just forbid it in their workshop, and they'll go grab something else.

Particularly useful for metal, and bones. Who wants an artifact with musk ox bones?
You have to be careful with this, though.  From my experience, I believe they don't get a replacement, but rather just skip that particular item.  If they're asking for a stone and two bones, and you forbid the first bone they pick up, then the final item will just contain a stone and one bone.  Even worse, if you forbid the very first item, I think they fail the mood and consequently go mad and die.  There were some threads in the past month or two where this was discussed, and I believe that this was the conclusion.

Wrong. I just had a mood where a crafter collected a shell, two dog bones, and some other stuff. While he was collecting the other stuff, I forbid the bones and he went and collected some different (cat) bones. Still had the same amount, however.
