Another bug - corrupted "change" stack, when unfolding elections.

Add up the members of the house and senate and see if there's the correct number.  I think this error is linked to that number being wrong.

Hmm... Thanks for the advice.  It's difficult for me to defend my Founder because inevitably, I send him out to "FIGHT EVIL" and he dies on site.  Only once have I had a raid on my turf, and that was in the game with the hackers.  Fortunately, I had moved them to another building, but they were not defended so they all died.  I guess what I'd really like help with is, how on earth can you defend yourself?  My founder always dies before getting a weapon skill up to any appreciable level... :-\

Remember that it's better to be arrested then dead.  A dead liberal is gone forever.  If your arrested you might get off (especially if your working the system, sleeper judge and attorney is great, sleeper judge and ace attorney are awesome) and even if your sentenced to death or many years, you can break them out of prison.  I regularly let my actively criminal liberals get arrest so they have a clean slate and I can avoid cop sieges.
Merc and CIA sieges have to be fought off however, so make sure you have a lot of liberals on site (they all get to shoot during a siege, not just six) and lots of good guns.  Smg's and shotguns are good for liberals without much skill.  Traps are excellent.  Hide deep in your fortress until there's a bunch of bad guys who've stumbled into traps and you can tear them to pieces when they can barely defend themselves.
Body armor is good for the six that get shot at.  If you have lots of cash (which is easy if you're spending lots of time laying low in between elections by just fundraising) you can have a turned vigilante or merc (non conservative mercs can also be recruited IIRC) train all the liberals at a sight but make sure you have lots of cash because this is very expensive.  This isn't necessary but can help.

Don't train security at the genetics lab, train it at the cosmetics lab.  Fluffy bunnies don't rip your throat out. Well, except...

There's a thread saying LCS 1.16.00 released.  Look in there.

I train my founder to be a super interrogator and kidnap people during dates.  Given how easy interrogation is in the current release, I can turn arch-cons in three days tops once my founder is maxed out.  Only agents are really tough since they sometimes know lots of interrogation.  Sleepers galore!  Also, your Guardian strategy is good but also remember to get a few graffiti artists and someone writing to newspapers because these are practically freebees and do help a little.  I generally stay away from causing trouble because people get caught frequently doing that.  During election season, I'll start commandering conservative broadcast, it's not too hard because a group with two turned radio or newspeople will produce the "best broadcast ever" and keep you from any really dangerous fights.

Two small things with the interrogation.

1) use props is bolded when off and shaded when on, which is counter-intuitive.
2) if you starve a conservative and deny water, the "made to hunger and thirst" appears over the second line of "locked in a dark room" which is a little annoying.

The problem is that it would make the game impossibly hard if you had to keep the moral of individual soldiers, or even your whole organization in mind.  But moral shouldn't be all that important, y'all are batshit crazy and not exactly making rational choices anyway.

I'm still trying to win the pre latest patch version and noticed some funny numbers in the senate.  There are fewer then 100 senators because sometimes the game counted fewer winners then losers in senate results.  This might be linked to all those damn error messages whenever I look at the house or senate.

I'm down to 279 members of the house.  Even though there's only 13 non L+, the house still shows as being L.  This game might be unwinable...

Naturally I would get the country up to L+ just before you release a new version....

The error I was seeing with the agenda does not appear in the new version so that's one problem solved.

Yeah, it's a little easy.  It'll probably change eventually.

I don't bother with prison escapes myself unless they're actually sentenced to jail time.  It's much easier to just beat the system with a good lawyer and a sleeper judge then rack up a big rap sheet and have them really come after you.  Clean your slate after any big crime sprees and they can't touch you.

Edit: While it's possible to replace Liberals with Elites, I still can't win the damn game!  62 L+ Senate, majority L+ court, L+ laws and it won't give me the freaking victory!  Argh!

Also, an error message pops up every time I check the agenda (it doesn't like the house script and doesn't like the senate script).  This also pops up everytime something changes in the disband resolution screen.  It's pretty cool to have when disbanding because that gives me enough time to actually read what's on the screen.  Maybe a anykey delay should be put into that screen,

Also, why do violent Liberals get moved to the court house at all, except on the day of his trial? I mean, these are violent Liberals...

Month long trials for disturbing the peace of course!

Bunker Gear has my interest.  Is it any good?  Also, why isn't body armor for sale at the black market?

Okay, the second page of the new sleepers page wasn't showing, but now it is.  I have enough liberals for a third page however and can't look at them.

Curses / seduction power leveling
« on: November 13, 2008, 06:30:07 pm »
Currently you're able to practice seduction by repeatedly trying to seduce guard dogs.  This is far more effective then trying anyone else because you can try to seduce the same dog over and over, so you can just mash t and b for a few minutes and bam, skill out the wazoo.  The skill gain should probably be removed.

Unrelated but this pertains to the as yet unreleased release.

Do converted agents disappear without a trial if they get arrested?  Cause I think that happened in my game.  If they don't they probably should.  Although, it might be nice to be able to free them from a special lockup at the CIA headquarters.  In fact, maybe all really dangerous liberals should disappear to there if law enforcement isn't regulated enough.

Edit: also, I can't scroll through the new sleepers menu.

Can you stop fleeing and turn around to rescue those that get caught?
