I liked a lot about Civ 4 but things happen way too slow in the ancient era. In one turn of ancient era time, Alexander the Great conquered his empire.  In 13 turns of ancient era time, the romans conquers 4 major powers (Guals, Carthage, Egypt, Greece).  Civ doesn't have too many things to slow down expansion once it get's started so the game has to make conquest impossibly slow for balance which means that in the early game you're marshalling resources to be able to do things in a thousand years.  Madness.

I don't think the CSS should be in the endgame.  The endgame should be your madness going so far left wing and so powerful that even the tolerant quake in fear before your might.

It would probably make the opinion on gun control a bit more conservative, but the views on the CIA and LCS and police regulation (just by association) would all go liberal quite a bit if the affair ever came to light.

No, but you can do it in my neighborhood.

Granted, your computer no longer accepts data packets from the internet, making infection impossible.

I wish for more wishes.

This is not a bug. The conservative swine want you to pay reparations for every bullet they wasted on your liberal hide.  ;D

Bullet control.

Marx is far from liberal enough.

I like the name left wing legend.  It's snappy for one thing.  Also, the apex of LCS membership seems like it's a step above even the elite liberalism practice by lesser liberals.

"In the course of the CIA's secret, illegal operation, fighting broke out between federal agents who aren't legally allowed to opperate in the country and left wing nutjobs who allegate that the CIA is spying on American citizens and even uses violence on them.  Clearly, these left wing renegades should be brought to heel.  No, Your honor, I am speaking for the prosecution."

I'm not saying that it's not possible for the CIA to forge a case here, just that it's not easier to forge a case here then it would be to blame any random crime on you.  But the CIA or corporations could potentially lose a lot in this trial so they should not want it to be buried.  Bury it and the LCS doesn't have much chance of proving anything but bring it to trial and you're just asking for trouble.

The justice system in the game is supposed to act as a controlling factor for your influence.  You go out and change things and the justice system tries to slap you for it.  The justice system isn't supposed to punish you for other organizations actions.

If they tried to nail you for murder in a case of self defense agianst merc or CIA, a halfway intelligent lawyer could get you found innocent.  It might be possible to distort the case but it would be very difficult and unlikely to succeed.

Now, if the case fails, the CIA or corporate sponsors would be liable to be counter sued for millions of dollars in damages and the imprissonment of it's members.  Plus, they'd have their name dragged through the mud for doing such things (unless the LCS is really hated at this point.)  A trial like this would be a sensation, raising the profile of the LCS enourmously and making their arguments far more strongly then any site raid.

So why on earth would they bring this to trial, given the tiny chance of success and the dangerous consequences of failure?  They'd want to hide any connection to the event.

It means the madness has spread to the entire nation, not the madness has gone away.

Yeah, defending yourself from a government paramilitary force sent to keep you from exercizing your freedom of speech is more or less the exact situation that the second amendment could be said to apply in.  I feel dirty now for invoking such a conservative law.  But the matter is that they're coming in with the intent to kill you so your acting in clear self defense on what might be private property (if you have the bussiness front set up.)  If you have the camera's and whatnot, you'd even have video evidence of the clear and present danger to yourself.
Even in L+, it's almost certain legal to own guns which were bought prior to the laws passing (going of the L+ DC gun ban and the comon practice of grandfathering).  The only things that can be made illegal are buying new guns or carrying guns in public places.  So fighting off a CIA or Mercenary attack doesn't actually consitute a crime.  I'd go so far as to suggest that you could dial 911 and get the cops to come chase them off if the siege goes on for long enough and to insure that you come out looking like hero's.  Of course, if you have evidence of your crimes or any fugitives on site, dialing 911 might not be a good idea.

I've observed some strange backtracking on the issues when I go into hiding after making the country very liberal and making sleepers.  The executive and judical are all elite liberal and the house is 2/3's L+ but the Senate only has 50 members who are L+.  For some reason elite liberal laws will keep getting changed back to liberal or even moderate.  This doesn't seem possible however, the house should vote down any change and the president should be vetoing anything that got by them.

Also, I think the issue of public interest needs to be looked into.  Unless the LCS is making a fuss, it's possible for there to be no public interest in anything.  I think there should always be some public interest in the issues.  Maybe each month, five randomly selected issues could be given enough of an interest boast to raise them from none to moderate.  Also, the public is way too concerned with the LCS, it's almost constantly the most concerning issue even when I'm not doing anything flashy (just protest, graffiti and letter writing lately.)

While no judge has been impeeched, IIRC correctly at least one was pressured into early retirement.  I think that if the country has very high interest in appointing liberal justices and has more the 95% support of said issue, impeechment measures should appear in congress like normal legislation, resulting in a "volentary" resignation if passed.  Cause as it is right now, there's no way to directly affect the supreme court but the entire purpose of the LCS is to take direct action to change politics.
