DF Suggestions / Queueing production with the [b]uild menu

I'm not sure if this has been suggested before since I couldn't really think of a different way to phrase this, but it would be neat if you could, after having assigned a manager, assign buildings which you don't have the object for yet to be placed, and have the manager see you requisitioned one or more in such a way and have him assign the orders to make them and have them placed whenever they are done. If that didn't make sense, I'll give an example; You have no beds, but you need a ton and you already know where they will go. So you open up (b)uild and go to (b)ed. Instead of saying "Needs bed" it would be the item select screen where you would normally choose which bed you want to place, but with an option for "queue bed to be made and placed." Hit that, and a bed gets added to your management queue and will be placed there whenever it gets accepted and made. Something like this would make fortress design much more fluid in my opinion, since I routinely make spaces for things and then forget exactly what I wanted where when I have to make the 200 some odd beds and 200 some odd cabinets and coffers, etc...
