Is there a way to add super regenerative powers to creatures?

I believe there may be a way with syndromes, though im not sure if the effects will make their magic if they aren't used offensively. Also is there anything I must put before the [SYNDROME] token to allow the syndrome to function properly?

I don't know if this is the right place to ask, but I seem to have noticed an issue with the make-citizen command.

It seems that when I use it, the game suddenly keeps crashing when I want to retire or abandon. No idea why, while saving works normally, all saves I have that used this command seemed to be unable to quit their game. All other saves seemed to work fine. Retiring/killing the converted citizens seems to do nothing either.

How can I fix this?

Some humans will spread news that other humans are in fact dwarves in disguise.

I’m not sure if plant mega beasts would be that fun. Mostly because they probably would be immobile, so how would they even leave their lair to raid other sites? Maybe you can just embark on them, rather than them coming to you.
Adventurer is a thing, you know. And yes, even in Fortress Mode you'd expect them to be present in evil biomes, posing as much if not more of a threat as pond grabbers and giant sponges.

Also, Siegers could bring along little plant-megabeasts and plant them outside your fortress as part of the Siegers update.

Another source would be experimentations by necromancers and other wizards, resulting in things such as Plant 43 and Ivys. For exemple, someone might make a plant intelligent, carnivorous and sporous, or another might fuse a sheep and a tree to produce more wool.

Sounds like something the elves would do.

Maybe add a necromancer-like caste of elves, crazy insane bastards that got exiled but do like experiments on plants and stuff

I’m pretty sure the fact that demons are butcherable is less of a logic loophole thing but more of a “reward” or sorts for beating hell. The game’s just like “hey, you slaughtered all these demons, have a couple thousand meat units and colourful feathers and bodies for your stupid dwarf tricks” thing. In a way, HFS doesn’t give much of anything useful, except for the candy which means that it isn’t a thing that’s very attractive, except for the fact that candy is great and all.

HFS should really have more into it than just candy, because even candy itself isn’t worth that much compared to the work you have to go through to neutralize the demons. The flora and biomes aren’t just to make the HFS more lively, it’s to make it more attractive as an end-game target. You get tons of !!FUN!!, tons of sweet rewards like expensive wine(maybe more but I am not really sure right now), making it attractive for players to spend the effort to prepare for the breach rather than just challenging HFS because “I’m bored and beating Hell will make game fun”, which is what it currently is. Just an insanely hard challenge with a few candies as a prize.

When a human chats with another human, there is a 99% chance for them to start an argument instead of a normal conversation. More humans will tend to join in this argument, sometimes resulting in dozens of humans all arguing with each other. Arguing humans also have a chance to spontaneously burst into flames during arguments, and then proceed to burn to death(without lighting anything else on fire). Humans may also break out into lethal fist fights during arguments, though they usually just yell death threats at each other.

Sentient mouse-frog hybrids that say "Uhm... Cheesed to meet you?"

They also tend to give out large amounts of cheese, which puts them at odds with dwarves as they wish it gave out booze and not cheese, the unbrewable laughingstock that it is.

Uhmm...

Somebody would like to have a word with you.

So I guess the mouse-frog hybrids would be like the holy grail for her.

As a variation of this idea, lesser demons instead of just fire imps

Fire imps don’t feel like a underworld worthy creature, though I guess lesser demons would be imp-like or take the forms of smaller creatures like vermin, though randomly generated too.

I mean the powered by hell energy was meant to just keep the plants from growing in your fortress since they cause so much fun that having them erupt into your fortress will most likely result in insane FUN

Also evil creatures like Beak Dogs, Silver Barbs can still be eaten normally despite being evil(and presumably having some sort of evil energy). In fact, freaking DEMONS can be eaten perfectly normally(if they can be butchered, but that relates to sentience and not evil powers) raw or cooked with literally no drawbacks. So I’m sure eating some Hell wine isn’t going to be as bad as eating the flesh of literal spawn of hell

If hell plants were powered by evil energy they probably shouldn't have edible fruits, at least for normal creatures. It would be cool if evil creatures ate them and brewed drinks with them, but they should be toxic to non-evil creatures.
Better yet: they seemingly aren't toxic, but insidiously corrupt the creature that feeds on them.

Maybe for one of the sphere-related plants, though having all of them poisonous would make them all useless which would kinda suck because they’d just be HFS decorations(which is still better than what we have now but I mean, that wouldn’t be as fun).

If a dwarf catches on fire there is a 1% chance that they will perform the Stop, Drop and Roll maneuver, causing them to extinguish themselves.

Feels Less of a terrible suggestion than one that’s way too silly to be implemented

Pretty interesting.

Also to add, the plants can’t grow outside of the HFS, so they won’t bother your fortress by growing in your farm pit or something. In lore reason is because they don’t photosynthesize, but rather draw their energy from the raw evil powers ubiquitous in the HFS, and they can’t survive without it, meaning they can only grow in HFS.

Those ringmasters must be really good at casting illusions to hide their true form...

Feels more like an adventurer mode thing though. Not sure if it would work out as planned in Fortress mode.

If the female creature dies does it just respawn into a Midday Demon in a auto-generated site that is made immediately upon its creation, or does it just spawn where the female died? Because if the latter you might run into issues of players getting their lords to beat the crap out of the Midday Demon before it could leave the map.

Also, it won’t appear when you have companions right? Assuming so since it only appears to those who are alone.

It IS possible(or I believe it should be) to turn special parts of an animal into a special material, so your iron-teethed Demon is possible in vanilla.
