I really like the style you've used for that dwarf.
Thanks, here a digital piece:

"Magic Kajigger"

"Doomed dwarf"

Id like to try a request or two (for free), if someone wants a dwarf fortress related drawing.

Yay!

Woodsmoke felt euphoric due to his flickgame being warmly welcomed.

Recently I discovered a very primitive game-engine called flickgame.org. I have now finished a project which I've named Dwarven Fort. It's a fan-game/love-letter to Dwarf Fortress. You point & click your way through a dwarfs daily routine.

It's like a counterpart of Dwarf Fortress: Graphics-yes, gameplay-no. Developed in 10 days instead of 20 years. Text? Only three letters: F, U, N.

Games made in flickgame.org consist of 16 pictures that are linked together by clicking on one of the 16 available colours of the current screen to get to a different screen.

If anyone wants to use the art to make something related to Dwarf Fortress, feel free.

Play Dwarven Fort [HTML5]

Artwork of the main character made with HEAVYPAINT.

PS:
I'm so stoked for Dwarf Fortress premium. I have a hard time with the classic UI as a n00b player. This project helped shorten the wait a bit for me. Hope it gives a smirk or two for anyone willing to give it a go.

Come sit by the fire. Stare into the flames and watch the wood glow away.
Feed the fire yourself or activate the auto wood butler.
Let the CPU cycles warm your chamber and your soul.

Any ideas for improvement?
I'm thinking of making a higher resolution version, currently it's 64x36 pixels.

Spoiler: Day 2 (click to show/hide)
A bit of lighting/shading would really make the vase pop and take the drawing to the next level.

Using Heavypaint on my phone during breaks at work. I'm trying to draw one picture a day minimum, and it really helps to have a decent mobile program. I love the oil brush which I've been using recently. It's good for finger painting because it forgives the lack of precision somewhat. The colour jitter feature is very satisfying too.

I got into a strange mood and messed around with ink.

Legs are nice and short, so looks like a dwarf.
Maybe give him some dwarf-looking gear, like oversized armor or sth.
Wait he has a beer mug on his belt? Certainly a dwarf!

Their first album has some songs I like a lot, especially this one.

My neighbor sings and plays guitar in a stoner rock band. I hear stoner rock every day haha.
They're pretty famous in Brasil, somewhat less well known, but still popular over here in their own country.

Damn, you have some cool neighbors. I just got into stoner rock last year. That's really good, I especially like the instrument stuff, not so much the singing, but they make music without that lyrics too. :)

I've been listening to Jarrad Wrights music after finishing watching his crazy animated show.

Also I recently found a radio station that plays acoustic guitar only which fits very well to Dwarf Fortress IMHO.
