Thanks for the reply, missed it earlier. I'll add it to my "watching" list, maybe they'll have a free weekend or something of that nature later on. I did visit the forums, seems like 2v2 is the most frequent game type? I like larger fights (6v6 looked fun), but still, worth keeping an eye on. It does seem interesting!

I think TaleWorlds will have to step up a bit with M&B2. The War of the Roses game (Paradox title) looks like it will be competition of sorts. Same sort of setting, just far better graphics and probably a lot less depth. Still, competition of a kind, and I'll never be upset at seeing more games of that nature.

Crusader Kings 2 is on sale for $19.99 at Amazon now, in case anyone wants to pick it up for half price. Some of the DLC is heavily discounted, too.

Can we all join on the same server, or are they segregated by our real-world location?

But yeah, I'd be interested in a guild with a heavy Bay 12 (and other fine fellows, too, of course) presence. Doubt I'll be able to afford the game near its launch date, though, no matter how much I'd like to. So keep the doors open for us late-comers, too, eh?

Awesome. The sandbox promise here is immense and very exciting.

Downloading the Shipyard Demo now. Looks really promising. Watching closely!

I just really enjoyed the overall atmosphere and storytelling in NV a lot more than I did in FO3. That's the long and short of it.

Well, do people who had it before release count?
Oh, definitely. Just wondering what everyone thinks of it now that it has "gone gold."

Lord Owen offered an estate in the OOC channel to the Student list, but I didn't want to be a jerk and take it from someone who has been waiting longer. I asked the list if anyone was going, but no one has replied yet ... Owen just said to "come on over and claim it" pretty much, which is fine, but I almost expect to see three or four people arrive at the same turn. And that's a long hike!

But ... my greed! My ambitions! (Really, my guy just doesn't want to mooch off of everyone else to make it through the month.)

I'll send Lord Owen a letter this evening and see what's going on. Thanks!

Huh, that does sound a bit strange. Maybe they'll change that mechanic later on. I don't mind heavy NPC defenses in certain locations, but immortal players (even in just a small spot) is kind of an odd choice.

Still, it sounds so amazingly fun. Lots of opportunity to form big guild groups to organize and get things done. Or just join a zerg rush and revel in chaos for a bit of senseless violence.

If anyone in your guild throws up a video or anything, and you don't mind sharing it here, I'd sure like to watch it.

It's been released (was out yesterday I believe). Anyone getting it?

Is anyone heading over to claim that estate in Storms Keep? I'm chomping at the bit to get one, but most of you got here before I did and should have first dibs if you need it.

But if I don't see or read about anyone heading for it, I'll start that direction tomorrow. *defiant flip of the beard*

Have you tried Geany? I've always seen it as a mix of IDE and editor, so it's more of a light IDE I suppose. It's GTK2 if that matters.

Bwahaha!

I don't want to get any more excited for this game. But now I am. Maybe it'll scratch that Warhammer Online itch I've had with large-scale PvP, too. I really enjoyed that, and the WvWvW thing sounds amazing. And no subscription fee ...

Wow, that was incredibly awesome of ArenaNet.

I remember reading the RPS preview that the human starting experience was a lot more involved and interesting than the others, though I still plan on making one of everything eventually. And plenty of chaos? I like chaos!

And nice banner. I quite like it.

Biggest question of all for a dwarfy fellow such as yourself who has been there: is it as much fun to play as it looks?

Also off topic, but +1 to Indian buffets having excellent vegetarian deliciousness. I'm sure there are others ... not all buffets are created equal!

Glad this sale lasts a week, I'll need that much time to over-analyze my $5 spending spree.
