DF General Discussion / Re: DFFD Downtime Explanation

It's MySQL. Believe me, I've exhausted every avenue of possible recovery for the database over the past several days. It's unfortunately toast.
Even carving data from raw files? If so, then all hope is lost :(

What kind of database was that? Do you have raw files from the corrupted base?
Once I had recovered almost 90% of Postgres db which I and my fellow admin had screw up (I made unintended SQLinjection with update query, he forgot to include this database in backups). Maybe not all is lost.

Well, if you don't need a very advanced database, you could use SQLite. This is a relational DB, just like Access file - you can store it in Google Drive for example and use it anywhere. But there are some trade-offs with it: only one person can work with DB at time. There are plenty of GUI to work with it, SQLite doesn't have a build-in editor.

This is because PostNL, like every other big mail and delivery company nowadays, uses subcontractors of subcontractors of subcontractors to hire  their local mail delivery employees.
Oh, this is similar to how we build routes here in Poland. Or at least, we built it around Euro 2012. The main contractor was paid, he cut his margin and pays his subcontractors. But somewhere in the chain the companies disappears and the subcontractors of subcontractors left with nothing but bankruptcy.

They added a warning. "Russia will not leave this enemy attack unanswered, and our answer will hurt Polish provocateurs and make them think hard".
I wonder what they can do. Sabotage our meat export to them? They already did. Stop buying our apples? They did it already. Send more refugees to Poland-Belarus border? Yes, they can. Not that our government give a f* about those people (excluding Ukrainian refugees, those are more privileged).

I cannot see how they cannot harm us now.

In an act of bravery, stupidity or both
We have lost our president and majority of other important gov people in Smolensk plane crash in 2010, so we get used to that. Don't have to mention that we also lost most of air forces generals one and half year earlier before that in, you wouldn't guess, plane crash, because some folk assume that it will be OK to return all of them to their home units by one flight.

OK, dark humor aside. They travel by train (it's official info, I don't know if that's true), so I assume it isn't very hard to locate it. Railroads are more rare that usual roads.

Just wait for our Independence Day (11th Nov) and watch a threesome between neo-Nazi nationalists and rainbow bigots with fighting feminists, banging together with police forces. It will be fun, as usual, year by year.

Our nice, national a-Pole-calipse.

Ha! Polish jokes, I like them ;) Oh well, I'm Pole...

Our current government is a terrible joke, I didn't vote on them. So let me tell some old Polish joke:
- How to solve the problem of hunger and unemployment?
- Let the hungry eat the unemployed
