Specialization: shadow magic.
Background: he was possesed by a minor deity, but threw him out of his mind and lost his memories in the process.  he came to the council because he got bored of doing whatever dubious stuff he did before.

while asking a deity would be the most effective way, i think it would be better to have millions of years of wisdom at our fingertips.

it would be nice if you could make my element something like air or earth or heat.  it would be a total drag (in my opinion) to have a elemental with a absurdly specific element like hotdogs or belts (no offense bob).
