I love when people put an image of the artifact on the artifact being made. This happens a lot in my forts because I build in boring places where werewolves don't murder everyone.

What's all this fancy-schmancy talk of nonlethal takedowns and capturing enemies? Are we going to invite them for tea? You'd better be thinking of torturing them! Dismemberment! Hydra-food! If I see one hocked off to the Elves, I'll carve the lot o' you beardless rock-humpers!

On a serious note, this would be a great way of getting trade goods for Elves. They hate getting bloody giant cave spider silk loincloths. Lock the entire siege of goblins in the same cage and tell the lot of 'em to pass over their silk panties.

Billon is the best thing to make out of Tetrahedrite ore. I usually start a fort with a lot of tetrahedrite ore, smelt a couple bars for copper picks and an axe, and make billon bars with the rest. 1 stone of 9* ore turned into 6 60* goblets? nice profit to me...

As far as making billon out of silver and copper bars? No deal. I need that stuff.

I like having multiple 'jacks as an early warning system. Dices up Kobolds real good. Plus if you've only got one Legendary Woodcutter, then that Dwarf gets taken down by Gobbo crossbow fire, what then?

I just take what I want from the tree-hugging fairies. Let 'em try to siege. I've got glass disc weapon traps friggin' everywhere. We'll have finely diced elf confetti in no time. If they get through that, what good is a wood sword against steel plate?

My advice is to smooth and engrave every surface you can. That'll get you some good immigrant waves. You'll go from rooming 25 to struggling with 45, and before you can finish that you find you're up to 95, then 180. Next thing you know you have all kinds of rooms that nobody can afford the rent for.

Make sure to build a slum alley with a lot of 2-3 square rooms with a bed, a chest, and maybe a door.

Got one for you: a Trade Depot sitting on top of a rock sitting on a single pillar linked to a lever, with a bridge so they can get to it. First, let the elves onto your Depot Island. Then pull the bridge lever, stranding them there until they go mad and start having at each other with those clumsy sticks they call "swords". When all but one is dead, pull the second lever, dumping the whole mess down, crippling the one lone Elf. To recap, you'd turn a peaceful, haughty, caravan of Elves into one lone gibbering cripple set to roll around in the tile he landed on and look at the paste that used to be his legs before death mercifully takes him.
