I don't consider the assignable positions as "Nobility"; they're more along the lines of "Middle-management". Especially considering that most of the time, that's not their main gig. It's like there's a miner who occasionally brokers with the caravans; an Engraver that will assign tasks. A farmer who works the books. That sort of thing.

Imagine a random chance of getting the wrong noble type after an "accident". Sure, you may get tremendously unlucky and have 2 hammerers, but imagine 3 or 4 Dungeon Masters?

That GCS in LoTR was a named spider, too! No title, though...

I don't mind the seeds being in bags ( i usually have a metric ton of leather, cloth, and silk to make more bags). What I want to see is a farmer picking up an entire BAG of seeds for planting, and planting all the seeds in the bag. It doesn't make sens for him to run to the bag, pull out ONE SEED, plant it, then run back to the bag for the next seed. The bag ain't that heavy, even when it's choc-a-bloc full.

Now,if someone could make it so you can set dwarves' alignments,you could actually get the dwarves to fight each other!

Two words: Goblin slaves. In some sieges, you're attacked by Dwarves that were raised by goblins.

Tower? That'd be a hive city.

Another would be appointed. Chances are about 15-20 die during world gen.

A statue, preferably made from a precious metal like gold, platinum, or aluminum would make a perfect "flag", also a perfect trophy.
