Just to explain, ISIS is massively iconoclast and think statues of anything is heresy, plus they were trying to erase history.

And you know... We only want to rewrite history in order to say that the entire south is racist and that the Civil war was completely just with the North as the glorious hallowed heroes. That the racism that the South committed is so systematic that the government, law enforcement, and everyone is now racist because of the south.

That absolutely no one in the South deserves any dignity or sympathy.

Which CLEARLY more accurately fits reality.

Uhh... There are plenty of monuments that do that.

I don't know of many people who like to set up monuments before the problem has either been dealt with or have been going on for a long time.

I don't know many WW2 Memorials that were installed before WW2 ended (except maybe ones that weren't intended as memorials... until after the war)

Shouldn't we dismantle Mount Rushmore?

Which is the BIGGEST F-U America has ever given the Native Americans... and pretty much is a testament to their subjugation.

Goodness... Would be interesting in 1000 years if the next racists started to flock to Mount Rushmore as a symbol of Native American Oppression... so people are like "We should demolish it! It is racist!"

When someone goes "Now, I am not saying your a bad person" and then goes "But your a bad person"

So here is my #1 Rule for "I am not saying your a bad person": If you NEED to say it, you probably are saying they are a bad person.

If anything the Democrats would do well to use the ball of hate stored in the ideological left. Which, honestly, if the election was called right now the democrat could win just by calling the Republicans a "hate group" that support Nazis. Just go on and on about how the Right are Nazis and that something should be done about them.

Moderates don't hate everyone enough. You can't spur them on as a hate group as easily as the Liberals and Conservatives.

I really don't like videos that are just compilations of a ton of things that is wrong with a movie and game.

It is mostly because flaws in it of themselves do not make or break them. It is their total overall effect on the product in question and that effect isn't additive or multiplicative... It is context.

Something could have a million flaws and still be great. I mean people love Skyrim and that is just a huge ball of flaws upon flaws.

I am not against removing statues, especially ones that would advocate hatred. I am against double standards and the mental loops that justify this double standard.

Incase your wondering why I have an issue with a rampant unruly mob of moralistic ideological rioters tearing down historical artifacts and memorials.

Well that and... I dislike how winners tend to trample on the losers. There really SHOULD be Confederate memorials. Sure there are no German Nazi Memorials, but they have WW2 memorials (and not just Holocaust, victim ones) and Germany has often been accused of trying to forget WW2 even happened.

Personally I don't even think the hatred towards the statues has anything to do with how the symbolism is being misappropriated or even about the war itself. I think it has to do with how it is symbolic of everything this group hates (Which should ALWAYS be a warning sign!).
