I think this is a good idea!
I'd love to see allowances for more sets of pronouns and heck, randomly generated pronouns would be a hell to see unfold

Imagine a world in which there are 3 sets of pronouns for dwarves: Xe/Xey, It/Its and He/Him
And these pronouns are not shared with elves, which have 2 common pronouns used in their culture (Be/Bits and They/Them)

Imagine elves using Be/Bits pronouns ^v^

Atm the gender situation in Dwarf Fortress isnt exactly bad, but not that great either. It leaves a lot assumed that could instead be incorporated into the storytelling machine that is this game
Another subtle touch that would add a lot, like lying and the such.

1. Fiction
People are capable of lying now, but it would be cool if one could write lies into books and poetry!

2. Medical quackery
Fictitious science books claiming the world works in certain ways.
A dwarf would react to this the same way they might react to learning about the sun's orbit. Not that relevant
Though imagine if a dwarf got convinced that they in fact, NEEDED certain things and didnt have them.
This can be certain materials, animals, activities, etc.
So suddenly your dwarves all read a book about how you gotta have silver or youll get possessed or something, and theyre throwing tantrums because of a fictitious unmet need :)

3. Town criers and printing presses
A town crier would be a person whos job it is to educate the fortress on local politics
Dwarves might get sad if theyre not involved in the goings on of the world
A town crier would also be able to vouch their values, meaning some dwarves would get swayed into having one value or another strengthened
Some dwarves would be naturally gullible, falling easily for the crier's words that rain is good for you, actually, meanwhile some would be natural skeptics, believing the opposite

The town crier would also give out pamphlets and newspapers that could then travel anywhere, educating people about events and influencing peoples opinions
Factions could arise this way, some believing strongly that being outside rules, and the others scoffing at these sun loving babies

Actually have just finished watching that panel after my wife recommended it
Feeling a lil silly
But also validated that this is literally what theyre already working on

The idea is to add a period of history before all the little people come in where the world is made of and by gods and megabeasts
And the idea is to make possible stuff like a mountain that in the time before time was a giant lion bear or something

And let the gods play with each other more directly and maybe simulate their personalities and what they represent change as they happen through events in the primordial world

This era would end with the creation of mortals and/or the death of the last true giants (creatures large enough to form landmasses and the like upon their death)

Its a very loose idea but I think it could be cool and add another layer of history to the world
