What do you mean by more effective against low armour champions? If a champ has low armour then your going to do more damage anyway, if they have high armour your going to do more damage with last whisper then without it. Your saying more effective but you have to consider the effect when LW is not applied.

However if a champion has low armour then Brutalizer will be more efficient and same for Black Cleaver or Yomuu's Ghostblade when compared with Last Whisper. However if your an AD carry then Last Whisper is really a required item because it becomes more effective then other solutions at around 70-100 armour (depending on how many Black Cleaver stacks are applied) and apart from other ad carries usually by midgame almost every other champ will have around that much armour.

Only adc who doesn't really need Last Whisper is vayne.

Yeah if you press shift+R (can't see while Menu is up so if you want to do it during combat make sure combat settings are roguelike not menu).

Although it doesn't explain the roll completely it does show you your score (skill level + ((stat+2)/3) + bonus - penalty), the resulting score will give you a certain number of die which is explained better here. So you can't see the exact roll in terms of how many dice you have and what they roll but you can see the total values to sort of work it out.

It can be annoying that the rolls are open-ended though so if a max is hit on a die roll then an extra die is re-rolled which can also get re-rolled I believe leading into rare but huge rolls to get like extra-super crits with something like a Fallback pistol. It also means that nothing is impossible in GearHead, you might have only 1 point of reflexes and no points in small weapons but you might still be able to hit a long range shot with a long rifle and one-shot Bonecracker the Albino Alligator.

Still dunno how to get the rolls shown in Gearhead 1 though, maybe some debug mode?

Don't suppose there is any way to look at the dice rolls in Gearhead 1 like you can in Gearhead 2?

The annoying crits are annoying and I'm just wondering if it was enemy really skilled or one of those silly open ended die-rolls which means a shitty enemy gets a score of like 30 on a 1d10

I like the Alpha 3 Keeper mode, no spells or mana but nice that you can go invade the dwarves/lower levels with your minions and grab some nice loot, also game doesn't end once you beat the final wave, would be nice to have those two things in Alpha 6

395
If you press F1 when possessing a minion/keeper you get commands list as well.

Game is pretty damn fun although I get a few random bugs. When you are invading the villages there are some random Elf-lords who are un-named, the only named ones I see come in the final wave. Haven't invaded the human village yet but im guessing they might have some un-named Dukes as well.

The adventure mode is pretty good as well, quite a lot different to keeper mode, lots of different enemies to face. Was annoying though when fighting a cyclops as the clever bugger threw a potion of blindness at me, then a potion of slowness. Luckily I had a healing potion, unluckily though I was blind so I accidentally drank my potion of sleep instead....

EDIT:

Also the different alpha versions are like different games, I recommend you try alpha 3 and 4 as well

New Xerath seems quite fun, he has so much poke that I have seen quite a few support Xeraths out there as well and his ult is so strong, its way better then Lux's for snipes. It's definitely different to old Xerath who could do quick snipes and escape super quick, now he is more of a slower artillery machine, great wave clear as well, and then once he hits lvl 16 his ult has more range and damage then a Ziggs ult.

Seems really good for a game only initially released a few months ago. Dungeon Keeper is one of my favourite games so this is great for me. Very excited to see further development on this.

Still annoyed with Yasuo, not nerfed in the right way, although it is nice he can't regenerate his OP shield so quickly. Yasuo can solo baron very easily because of his double crit chance passive and his shield.

I'm still annoyed that Riot haven't addressed the stealth op'ness issue. I can understand limiting players to 1 pink ward on the map but only having 2 in inventory sucks, especially vs rengar who can move so fast and so long with his ult stealthed. Eve is slightly weaker then other stealth champs and pink wards not necessary vs her anyway as once she is close you can see her so she can't escape easily but Rengar, Twitch and Shaco are very expensive to kill, and Teemo shrooms are a bane in late-game.

Sami already pointed out that graphics will be moddable so people will prolly develop bazillion different graphics for this.

URW IN ASCII: COMING IN 2015!

The earliest URW (which is nothing like it is now) was ASCII

I've never gotten GH1 to work on my computer. GH2 works fine. It's been awhile so I don't remember the exact error. Is there anything specific that GH1 needs to run?

There is also an SDL version of GH1 so that should work fine for you if GH2 works.

So Yasuo seems to be a bit OP, I really don't like how Riot just make new champions have ridiculously strong passives, the only recent one who doesn't is probably Jinx who has an interesting passive but her kit is really strong.

Yasuo though is silly, double crit chance as well as a super strong shield, that shield is much much much stronger then malphites and it can regenerate in combat, seems fairly silly. I know you can't just compare champion passives but it just seems ridiculous that he essentially has two strong passives and it's not like his kit is weak.

Yeah the first turn look-at ramp thing makes terror missions much more interesting, the race to save civvies and not lose soldiers makes a dilemma. You can also set grenades to explode on impact in the options so you can chuck a smoke grenade out of the ramp and move soldiers straight away. You can also prime grenades in the pre-battle equipment screen to save even more TU's

Nasus is pretty easy, get lifesteal quints and just farm the whole game while building tanky. The only damage item you need is Trinity Force so normally I would start Doran's Shield, get Sheen, then Spirit Visage or Sunfire cape depending on AP or AD enemy, then finish Tri Force and get other tanky item I didn't get before and then warmogs, oh and maybe a lifesteal item to get bloodthirster sometime in the middle there.

Hah, concentrated firepower only does so much against cyberdiscs in original because unless you are firing off rockets they would pretty much shrug off anything you threw at them, in new XCOM though they just need a few shots to go down while in original they would need many, and you would normally face 3 of them just on easy mode. A sectoid first terror mission in original was very dangerous.

Anyway Original XCOM and new XCOM are pretty different games so it's hard to really compare enemies directly, but from personal experience I find the old cyberdiscs more terrifying especially early game more then the new cyberdsics.

I don't think you could say they or cyberdiscs were easy in the original, of course once you had psi-amps everything was super easy from there on.
