I've made some changes to the Nahuantl, and used up that wasted 5 EP, now.

Edodnom, 'Boredgods' the cougar.  That says a lot about the nearby dwarves outlook on their religion.

I don't see anything that would provoke this, though.  Odd...

Meh, the new update just happened and I'd already lost interest in this because I thought no one else was interested.

*metric measurements*

Man, it gets annoying when you live in the only country in the world that doesn't use the new measuring system.  I really have to learn to use that instead soon.

Contrary to what the Wiki says, I've NEVER been able to prevent cave sickness, and the most infuriating thing about it is that the personality profiles still say "enjoys working outside and grumbles only mildly at inclement weather" and completely fail to mention "pukes like a seasick sailor at the first sight of open sky".

Um...  The wiki says that they'll still get cave sickness even if they enjoy working outside.

Hmmm....  About where on a creature's evolution are we supposed to be starting out?  I'm starting to feel like I've gone too far ahead with my current version of the Nahuantl, maybe I should make them more like just a conventional lizard creature before I get to tool use and hand-like manipulators?

EDIT:  As in, evolution along the path to a highly sentient creature.

Other edit:  I'm suddenly considering a cluster of advanced nanites and trying to 'evolve' that.

Edit again:  As for the Nahuantl's life cycle, I'm not sure what is the most fitting.  My guess is that since they lay eggs, they would have more children than humans on average, and their lifespan should be cut in comparison by maybe...  30 years?  I'm not sure.

And on an added note...  Fair well, psychic, skull-less monkeys.  Perhaps, in another world, I could have called you... Friend.

I had a god of mountains whose name translated to 'Finger.'  He appeared as giant sloth, and is one of the only animalistic gods I can remember having.

Waterwheel powered mill shack, library (wooden cabinets in leu of book cases), post office, arena, great hall, catacomb-maze, suspended prison above chasm, temple around HFS pit. Sewer systems (preferably filled with carp). Apartments, kings palace compound with patrolling marksdwarves on the roof and royal guard hq. Cathedral. above ground wooden shacks. above ground mini-farms. Above-ground inn and little church. Star gods tower with rooms for the faithfulll. Little cult of diseases hideout and ritual rooms hidden in the sewers. Zoo with all sorts of elf-bought animals. Dungeon filled with nice, engraved walls and floor, magma channels and misc. monsters. Fortress guard watch stations. Military compound which the baron lives in. docks to fish off of. Bazaar. warehouses. Bank and heavily trapped and mechanised vault for artifacs and shineys. heavily trapped tomb of the king in teh basement of the palace. Massive, gold adorned throne room.

Typically, I build this on a mountain with a chasm, next to some cursed forest bordering a lake. Then you can build all this nifty stuff. Magma optional.

That's really awesome.  Do you have any of those up on the map archive?  Is the sewer system connected to 'toilets' of some sort, and would those be holes in the ground dropping directly into the sewer system, or something else?

Edit:  Wow...  I feel really weird for even having asked that, but I'm mostly interested in it for making a more realistic type of fortress/castle.

There was a patch that added a co-op play option y'know, only problem is actually finding someone to play it with.

I've oddly enough found one of the nearly legendary magma temples.  It's a human settlement's temple to their god of volcanoes.  And, as we all know, life is, in a word, volcanoes.

"I like your bonobo leather loincloth, Urist.  It certainly menaces with spikes of leather...  errrm...  that spike is part of your loincloth isn't it?"   :o

"Actually that's part of my cave spider silk trousers.  They sure do look great together, don't they?"

*Account of suicide in a NPC Dwarven fort*

There just isn't any coding for interesting things in NPC mountain homes and forest retreats yet.  Towns are currently the only places to find functioning shops and homes, and the only place where it's not a chore to find the leader of the settlement.  The next version is going to make adventure mode a lot more interesting though.
