Whoah, Phobos is gone? Sweet! No more "Grr I oppose everything you do whether it's good or bad because I don't like you Grr".

I don't think it's the case of opposing everything you do, given the fact you managed to piss off almost every other admin.

i don't think we will be able to take the item. an army of elves, easy. an army of demons? doable. an army of zombies? i don't even care. but an army of fully equipped mechas?

It's not a problem. But the main difficulty would be just getting there.

I attempt to utilize my unconciousness to further tamper with my nervous system. It's mainly optimization by changing the structure of the brain to support faster impulse processing. I also try to somewhat incorporate some minerals from the soil into the skull, forming a protective shell.

From my point of view, the problem seems to be emotional admins, who can't differentiate between a proper, legitimate killing and a griefer attack. It seems that when a regular player attacks an admin who is roleplaying, they will automatically get pissed because they got attacked and assume it is a griefer, without any further investigation, reaching for the ban button.

The problem is that many people by "roleplaying" mean playing as an unstable, hostile or even homicidal character. Others don't, but instead just wait for the first opportunity to flip the fuck out, because "they're roleplaying a panicking person". Add a token griefer, who just wants to blow some shit up and you get a deathmatch.

One person seems to have banned just because he couldn't load the engine.

Sorry, but this is an understatement. I should have made it clearer, but it did look like severe idiocy or spite.

First time, he started to ignite the engine when I was loading cannisters. I closed the valve and told him not to do this yet. He opened it. I closed it again and begun to connect other cannisters. Of course, he did exactly the same thing he did earlier. He has been shouted at by the captain. About ten minutes later, he tried to open the engine loading chamber inner airlock, effectively sealing it off (with the storage containing perfectly good cannisters) and dying in a fire.

Next day I joined late, was assigned to the engine and saw the engine running without being loaded. Then I realized it's the same guy as the day before.

I forgot to mention that the entire time he was writing in lower cases, with multiple spelling errors. And he had no first and last name, only something which looked like a nickname.

Our banning may seem somewhat harsh, but it's extremely easy for one person to fuck up the entire turn for everyone. If we begin to give those people second, third, fourth and eleventh chance, we will have no time for playing, because every turn will be destroyed by a moron who can't read the Wiki.

Woose1 admin rights should be revoked.

I second that. He shouldn't be let anywhere near buttons which can change something in the game. He is constantly teleporting, spawning things, changing variables and adding AI laws for his own amusement, despite being asked multiple times to stop.

1. Well that would be nice if we already didnt have the huge problem of not having the time we should to talk. In real life you can talk while doing something, not by becoming blind and inactive in order to talk. And then you have mistakes, capitilization, punctuation, they add more times to the time you are already unrealistically using. And if you miss the ";" you have to retype everything again.

So dont go asking me to risk my guy because you cant read a captialized sentence.

All right. Please tell me, what were you risking when typing this post?

5. I disagree, freeform means ANYTHING, cleary discribed by the creator. The fault with this is that mess something up and the AI could do something interesting. And as a plus its fun when someone puts laws such as "THE STATION NEEDS MORE CHAIRS AND TABLES!>!$?!!#%%YU^*&! override all other laws for this" lol that was my favorite

It was a case of the captain, adding an AI law without overriding, then going batshit crazy because AI didn't want to obey his conflicting orders.

Plus I can't fix typos as fast, since I have a mouse pad and never had a good reason to get a mouse as I can navigate faster by keyboard, and all I really play is roguelikes on my laptop so why use a mouse?

Wait, what? How do you manage to play SS13 without a mouse?

Time tu bump it a bit:

What can I do in Space Station 13 to look like a complete and utter moron?

  • Butchering English language. In this game you need to read somewhat fast, because there is a lot of action. Unfortunately, the text is quite important, so just ignoring some people won't do. Please, don't make us to decrypt your sentences, lacking not only proper punctuation, but even fucking capital letters in the beginning of a sentence. You can make a spelling error from time to time, but for the love of {insert your god here}, "doesn't" is not so hard to write.
  • Misusing Cent Comm Report. It doesn't mean it should be entirely ignored. You can quietly observe the suspect, visit him from time to time "to see if he needs some help", relocate him to work somewhere when you can watch him. There is just one way you can look like a moron - announcing your suspicions. Think about it: would it work in real life? Imagine that you're a manager and you announce to everybody, that Mr. X is a suspected saboteur and other employees should watch him. Then watch your company wriggling desperately in the court. Yeah, Cent Comm doesn't like to pay those millions too.
  • Acting mindlessly as a traitor. You're alone. You have a whole station against you. Usually at least some of them have better weapons than you, better armor and better clearance. So being a traitor doesn't mean going postal and slaughter everyone you meet on the corridor. Don't cut the cables randomly, or destroy windows just for sheer fun. You will be detained or killed in no time. And there is few things so annoying like a traitor detained even before engineers can ignite the engine.
  • Abusing game mechanics. This time I mean constructions - the fact it's so quick to build or dismantle a wall doesn't mean you should treat it like changing the wallpaper in your laptop.
  • Misusing AI. When you decide to reprogram it, don't give it a law which conflics with other three. Or add "Override other laws if necessary." - it can make a difference between AI obeying your orders and AI doing absolutely nothing despite your screams in the radio. And if you're playing as an AI - those laws are really laws, not advices. You can't ignore them, or interpret them in a "creative" way.

Also a "happy birthday" for me, even if it's late.

I heal my wounds, and - if there is enough time - of people near me.

All right, found the answer on BYOND forums:

You probably renamed your project or the directory it's in. If the .dmb and the directory don't have the same mode, DS switches to ultrasafe mode for your protection.

What do you mean by "safe mode"?

Are you sure "usr" works in this context? Shouldn't you use "mob"?

I could set up a warning, but honestly a O2 tank never runs out in normal play, even with a medical mask.

Believe me, it can. It requires only a moderately long session of 'extended'.

Repair Head of Security, making him to be able to check Security Records. Also change Revolution mode - it makes more sense to kill HoS than HoR.

I try to eliminate the clanner with every mean I can use, even if it means unleashing TK.
