Seems a bit iffy granite.

Though if so Id expect it by the Artifact Arc.

I'd bet it'd be in during the next time drugs, poisons and medical effects get touched.

only difference between a poison that hurts all body parts and a healing potion that helps is the sign....

Stocking up on magical healingpotions when in town would be nice.

Yeah but that isn't happening, if ever, for a very long time. (V2)

No reason to assume there won't be a hackish cheat added at some point... (Mod in a medicine/drug that grants 'regeneration' to the creature temporarily)

Did you try putting the Hot Chocolate in the Oven and then turn it on?
Nope... figured the HOT would cover it ;)

HotChocolate doesn't, in fact, solve the puzzle in one move

presuming there's a Microprose-style right click for the help file on the item when this is done, I'm all for it....  Otherwise, it'll be hell for new players

How will AI look in the future in terms of behaviours?  Will an unusually intelligent animal-man act more like a human than his peers?  What range of behaviours do you plan on supporting?  How will those behaviours be implimented in the RAWS?

I think I'd prefer to have different minerals all have the same name, just different colors.  I.E. Microcline is the name for a specific kind of Feldspar.  Why not have the display name be 'Feldspar' and it's just the blue Feldspar.  That way, budding geolgist players could ferret it out from the raws, but the people who don't care would just know it's the blue Feldspar.

DF Suggestions / Re: why can't dwarves make wooden weapons?
« on: September 24, 2009, 12:07:34 pm »
Yeah, that's the real issue at hand, the lack of training weapons in general.

However, I don't think it's going to be quite as necessary in the next version anyhow, since sparring and training is getting updated.

That's the long and short of it... training isn't working as intended.  New features or design changes to cover for bugs that are being fixed is... incorrect

George Washington + Axe + Cherry Tree does nothing :(

That is incorrect. If you give the Axe to George Washington, He will in fact chop down the Cherry Tree.

I just did it again to verify...

Edit:  He still didn't cut it down...

Some of that is implied in linking to the wiki...  As in, a help button on screens that takes you to the wiki page for that screen.

The kobold camp players probably have a few for kobolds...  Until people play fort mode with them, I don't see it happening.

In other words, sufficiently advanced magic is indistinguishable from our technology.

I got ya'....

I think that's the problem most people have with magic... Anything implimented would be subject to rules, and generally a limited set of rules that quickly makes it formulas and not awe inspiring.

I summoned a mech. It was awesome. Maybe we should do a thread to show how each of us solves each puzzle in the game.

Or even better, pick a midling puzzle, and each solve that one with different objects?

Any object used in any previous solution can't be used (and no adjective cheats or sandbagging, we're people and smart).  Last person to solve the puzzle wins, bonus points for style, must stay under Par?
