This has to rank among the weirdest vocal performances ever
A hard/prog rock band with a yodelling vocalist. Better than it sounds, honest.

Yet more over-the-top vocal performance
I am so looking forward to seeing Judas Priest in July.

sung hammed by Bruce Dickinson of Iron Maiden

Hahaaa yes, that's him alright :D.
Hamming it up, you say?

THE MASTER OF HAM for more than one reason, teehee.

I think I heard that there are traces of neanderthal DNA in some people, so it's possible there was also inter-breeding, or something.

Soon, I will eat that cake. Jobs are for casuals...
It is casual work, amusingly enough. I'll essentially do bar work whenever they need a goon to move barrels and pull pints.

Ladies and Gentlemen, The Fall

Yep, dark, drunken, surrealistic punk. As good as it sounds.

Soon I will have a job :D

Drank some nice beer last night. <3 Wetherspoon's pubs, so much cheap ale on offer. Also occupied Walter's Bar for a while, had some more nice beer. Gotta love it when they get imaginative with names for beer.

Go to Hull so you can have American Chip Spice, which exists nowhere else in the world. Also observe Britain's last unaltered bombsites, and some of the ugliest industrial wasteland in the UK.

So! I'm back here for some music help from you fine folks.

I'm looking for some artists on the lighter end of the spectrum that likes telling stories with their songs, and has plenty of lyrical style and intelligence. Bonus points if the artist often makes use of more complex, layered instrumentals.

I enjoyed The Decemberists'  Picaresque album for precisely these reasons. Yes, my musical taste is limited, and maybe I'm not paying enough attention or something, but I'm finding it hard to get a hold of music like this.

Here's some Genesis for starters
And some Caravan
And finally, some Yes

The rule is anything with fur in Australia is safe. Except furry spiders.

Spotted Qoulls are the largest marsupial carnivore on the mainland:

Spoiler (click to show/hide)
That's right, the insects and spiders ATE all the dangerous carnivores.

Blasting a bit of Alice Cooper. Technically speaking, school really is out forever.
