I told afew stories earlier about my friend whose character i got killed, or tied to a tree, or watched leap of a tower.  But I just remember the best character he ever played.

The female human ranger named Jade.  Played her for about 5 years.  Was a weird chick.  Just really really odd.  We all chocked it up to my friend, who is odd.  Little did we know that "Jade" had been killed and replaced by a doppleganger on her third mission and has been setting up the party for years for our main badguy.  She was eventually supposed to backstab my main character who was driving the story.  Sadly, Jade the dopplegange died in a random silly encounter and exposed.  I couldnt freaking beleive it.  I am still in awe of how he played that character.  The weirdness so totally fit.  Like not bathing with other women.  Sleeping with clothes on.  Being untalkative.  Just little oddities that oh so fit after the 5 yr revelation.  Oh man that was a mind blower.

Well said.  I have always wondered about the silent rule of "hands off".  Why does no one (well, no on eof importance in world affaifs it seems to me) rally for helping Africa.  France is active in the Ivory Coast, but that is purely economical.  There are movie stars trying to tell us about the problem, but how can we choose Darfur over Somalia over The Congo over........which crisis can i support personally without the commercialized guilt on TV about the others I didnt.  The major powers of the world seem determined to act as if Africa doesnt exist.  Fears of colonialism?  Racism?  Exploitation?  Genocide?  Africans are still being taken as slaves by some groups, but no one is speaking out about it, not even African Americans (I once did an article in school about Jesse Jackson having dinner with a certian Sheik and was served by african slaves.)  What is with this whole silence about Africa.  I have some ideas, but they are just that.

No disagreement here.  I think that's where Bauglir and I were miscommunicating.  He meant the right to act (I think).  I meant the right to think.  And speak, though that's in a strange limbo between action and thought that depends on context.

Wow wait a sescond.  So much cause and effect blame going on here.  The TRUE VICTEMS here, the UN people, were 100% innocent of any wrong doing in this case.  They had nothing to do with any of it.  They were MURDERED by a group of people who wanted to kill someone.  The MURDERED other human beings in PROTEST of something they thought was wrong.  The MURDERED completely innocent, unrelated other HUMAN BEINGS, to protest a man burning a holy book ON THE OTHER SIDE OF THE PLANET.  Any who think of trying to point out justification or blame is way of the freaking mark.  If it is somehow justified, then every muslim should have killed every westerner, right?  Its the only logical end result of the many varied points being made here.  EVERY single human being on this earth bears the consequences of their own personal actions, not the actions of others who had minds of their own and made their own decisions.  HUNDREDS OF MILLIONS of Muslims did not go out and kill any westerner they could find after the Koran/Kuran/Qu'ran burning.  Only the MUDEROUS crowd in AFGANISTAN did because they were MURDERERS in the first place.  Its perfectly fine to SHUN Paster Jones if you disagree with his point of view, but BLAME the true violent MURDERERS.  It is the MUDERERS who should be apologizing, not anyone else.  By the words of too many people here, it would seem justified to kill every Muslim found in the US everytime they burn the US flag, or our President in effigy, or chant "death to America".  WTF is wrong here!

you know what, this whole discussion disgusts me. I have lost most of any respect I had for a lot of people.  And, strangely, others surprised me by earning it.  Now I am sure you dont care, but, there it is anyway.

Not every person's position is worthy of support.
Notable examples include Joseph Stalin.
A rather vital part of the democratic process is that everyone in it is elected by the will of the people and that they give up power willingly once their term has ended (which it must). Gaddafi is neither.
I think Monsieur Depravity is right.  Just because some like Stalin or Ghaddaffi offends Bauglirs (and mine for that matter) objective principles, doesnt remove the right for someone else to peacebly support him.  The very idea that someone can remove that right is in itself hilariously hipocritical based on the aforementioned reasons for doing so.

He snorted the salt on his hand.  Drank the tequila, rubbed lemons in his eyes.  Ten beat his haed on the table.  Which is understandable.  I think I would beat my head on the table if I did that also.  No scrath that, I definately would beat my head on the table.  Heck, I wouldn't even need the tequila, lemon or salt!

Tequila tastes nasty.  Specifically, the aftertaste is nasty, cubed.  So, why drink ten shots and then shudder under the impact of that nastiness ten times?  Just drink ten shots worth at one time.  Thats how I learned to drink Tequila.  Also explains why I later had to join alcoholics anonymous.  Its not worth it.

Thanks Glyph, I appreciate it.  I keep thinking I might try one of the online games here, but for some reason I think it might be more a pain than fun.  Have you tried any of them?

As far as politics go, I know myself to be arrogant, thick headed, stubborn, and often spasticaly confrontational.  Its a character flaw i am working on.   8)
