They still build them in the mountains, some homes even end up entirely underground. Better than the large, empty, and not fun to explore premade fortress.
And being able to buy steel is nice.
Also, easy to find civ leaders.

Some XBLA screenshots of a work in progress version are up:

Don't like 'em. Can't say anything good about them at this point, but these are not permanent.....I hope

Thanks for all the advice guys, I've gotten through the worst of recovery. Now I'm able to breathe better and better every passing day.  :)
Things are still dry and healing, but it only takes a saline rinse to moisturize and clear things up. The septum is still a little inflamed and tender, but that will clear up in a couple more weeks.

I feel better than I have in quite a long time now, with the anxiety beginning to lessen, energy coming back to me, and much better sleep.

I was gonna say, there's no ghost time limit because the levels are so large. I just started playing one of the dark jungle levels, where you need a flare. I'm starting at the bottom, and I can't fathom climbing up with a flare and so few ropes left. Oh well, here goes.

Anyone with time on their hands should try out the Spelunky Explorer mod.
Levels are 4X as large, and the ghost time limit is removed. Doors aren't found at the bottom, but somewhere random in the level. If you find a map, it's viewable by pushing ESC.

Mountain Blade

My friends I tell the game about always think I'm saying this. Then I have to elaborate, and slowly, like I'm talking to a kindergartener. Mount and Blade.

Living dead in 1866 are found in a ghost town somewhere in the US territory. It's invisible until you get close, just ride around a bit until you see it.

Do the living dead only appear once? I went there wounded because I thought it was a neutral town like Zendar was and never stood a chance. Now they don't spawn anymore.

Bring lots of grandfather clocks, they're quite useful.

The surgery went very well, it all looks good, and I even got to utilize the new breathing capacity in one of the best naps I've ever taken.
Yeah, so the splints have been taken out now, but I can't blow my nose or let it get bumped by anything while it heals for another two weeks.
What are some effective ways of clearing out mucous without actually blowing?

www.portableapps.com

There's a lot of apps on here that are made to run off a flash drive, including Openoffice.
Worth a browse.

I'm beginning to think that there's a conspiracy amongst various game companies to try and kill PC gaming, so that they can just pump out shitty console game after shitty console game without recourse.

So dies my interest. Deus Ex 1 remains one of my favorite games of all time.

About the only word Armagan said in that vid I understood was 'minigames'
Ughh.

Anyone else beat The Man With No Name quick battle in 1866 yet? Immensely satisfying.

I once stole a sword, then tried to sleep in a neighboring town's inn.

Sleep was interrupted to a ranger riddling me with arrows.  Whoops

DF General Discussion / Re: DF on a 42 inch LCD TV

And Surface is essentially a giant multitouch-enabled tablet PC. I'd rather buy a circular chamber for a NES lightgun to play Hogan's Alley.
YESSSSS

24x24 tileset then? I have a 42 inch LCD as well, was thinking about doing this, but it didn't seem practical.

Clearly, I wasn't thinking like a dwarf just then!
