Agh, all these good sales and I just closed my debit account..... gah. The draw of Evil Genius, Audiosurf, and S.T.A.L.K.E.R. are sending me to the bank the day after Christmas XD

Wouldn't be a problem in a D&D game, but I'll warn you right now. Pressure plates become non-existant in Adventure mode. Yes, that's with the init option on.

Here is the Stonesense snatched child ghost screen.
Started DF paused, so Stonesense is updated in the shot.

Spoiler (click to show/hide)

Zulban is the dwarf in question. You can't quite see the where the other Stonesense child should be in the DF screen, but he also is no longer in the fort.

DF Adventure Mode Discussion / Dwarves flood the world with more than magma

I went to meet my fortress dwarves in adventure mode, and they had an odd reaction at the sight of me.

I think Stonesense might have a problem with snatched children.

No one's been near my river in years after it was overfished, yet Stonesense shows two stationary children near the river. It was my fisherdwarves who had their children kidnapped due to lack of protection that far out, so it makes sense to me. So they're still there in spirit!

I'll throw in a screenshot when I have time after finals tonight.

DF Adventure Mode Discussion / Re: How do i find my old fortresses?
« on: December 14, 2009, 07:42:38 pm »
Anyways.

Ask any-one about Surroundings, and fairly often they'll bring up any abandoned forts. Just keep asking until they tell you what cardinal direction/how many days travel away. It'll even appear on the travel map.

If you manage to find kobold caves near dwarf civs, or a megabeast's lair who steals from dwarves, you can find much more valuable metal crafts.

DF Adventure Mode Discussion / Re: After the age of heroes...

I've only seen the Age with megabeast or demon in pocket worlds.

Exactly how long are some of you genning these worlds?

I genned a 2008 once last year, and there was a city full of super legendary humans who still only manage to break even with the elves. It was STILL the age of heroes

A couple highlights.

Sarena pretends to be an escort for "The captain" in what began as an attempt to steal his ship.

The captain goes rambling about the "The Enterprise"

I'll put one or two more up tomorrow.

I tested pressure plates, and various traps with normal settings, once with the init option on, then re-genned a world with the init option on, then with a fresh install and init setting on.

It. Does. Not. Work. This. Version. Please stop asking.

266
Oh my.

Pressure plates DO NOT work at all, don't waste your time, they simply disappear in Adv. mode.

Someone count how many times we've gone over this?

Edit: For that matter, neither do any ^ trap. Only options are lever and door.

You don't have to be legendary. Just make sure your weapon hand is free.
To be sure, make sure both your hands are free.

What happens when you pick it up?

They always worked like regular weapons for me, with the strange anomaly that if I threw or dropped it, it would disappear. No issue though, the artifact was still in the bin I found it in afterwards.

Yes. The arcade version is the only real version :)

I second TMNT: Turtles in Time. It's one of the best Beat em Ups ever. Period.

Valve's ambiguous EULA means they have full right to revoke anyone's games whenever they want. No lawsuit could ever take off from this.
