I'm not really angry at Lasik, but I think we should go with the password idea to prevent these kinds of things from happening again.

* Caldari Small tower
 * 1 basic labs, 1 advanced lab, 1 module manufacturing array, 1 ammo man. array, 1 small ship man. array, 4 ECM, 1 warp scrambler
 * Lab Slots: 4 copy, 5 ME, 3 PE, 7 invention
 * Manfuacturing slots: 6 for modules, 5 for ammunition, 10 for fighters/frigates/destroyers
 * Fuel costs: 6 million ISK/day

Small fix, I believe fuel costs for a small tower is around 3mill per day, not 6mill.

It seems like the best idea is a medium POS then. At 6 million fuel cost per day, though, we're going to need an actual funding plan of some sort. We can't just leave it be and hope enough taxes come in. Possibly a payment per slot being used, per day? Or something of that sort...

As for anchoring, I have the anchoring skill injected, so I guess I could train it to high enough to be able to unanchor stuff in an emergency.

How many manufacturing slots do you have? That's the main concern in choosing how many arrays we need, if you intend to have them all active at the same time.

Also, I am making a lot of T2 blueprints, but I am going to see first if I can manage manufacturing them myself. Otherwise I'll possibly sell you some.

I found a PoS calculator. Here's the URL for a setup I tried: http://eve.1019.net/pos/?ct=04&mod=050505434343030303&off=

This set up is a medium Caldari tower (because we need a lot of CPU). Note how it is MORE than enough for 3 normal and 3 advanced labs, AND 3 equipment assembly arrays that give 18 manufacturing slots in total. This is obviously far, far, far more than enough, even with Comp and Scriptwolf both doing continuous research, and Scriptwolf doing continuous manufacturing. Heck, unless these two have maxed out research skills, we could probably have 3-4 more people doing continuous research at the same time!

(Note I didnt include defenses, because defenses would be offline until war is declared, at which point the labs should be moved to an NPC station and replaced with defenses)

Here's a small Caldari tower to compare: http://eve.1019.net/pos/index.php?ct=05&mod=05434303&off=

This has 6 equipment manufacturing slots (should be enough for Scriptwolf unless he has very high manufacturing skills), and a total of 7 copy slots, 7 ME slots, 9 invention slots, and 3 PE slots. Again, should be far more than enough for Scriptwolf and Comp, plus an occasional someone else borrowing a copy slot or whatnot.

Seeing this, I think that, if all we want is the above mentioned people (including myself) doing the stated amount of research, plus Scriptwolf doing manufacturing, then a small POS is more than enough. And it costs half as much to maintain per day as a medium POS.

I myself might be able to make use of some research slots in a POS, but I certainly wont be using them often, as local NPC stations have a lot of free invention slots, and I dont do material/time research, so the only thing I'd use on a POS would be Copy slots. And even then, I'd only need to use them a few days per month, as copies are made far faster than I can research then manufacture the products.

As for POS size, I'd think a large POS is way too big. If only me and comp (and possibly a couple more people at most) are doing research, and possibly not continuous research as in my case of only needing slots a few days per month, then maybe even a small POS could be enough.

Why is Gallente Tower's double-silo ability of any importance to us? We won't be moon mining, and probably not moon refining, at least I think.

So, what kind of ship would one need to go sleeper-hunting in wormholes?

Yes, don't bother with Tech1 manufacturing, you just won't make a profit unless you have excellent skills and blueprints (though you could make an exception for ammo or drones or other such cheap things if you think you prefer making them on the spot instead of going to a hub to buy them cheap).

Tech2 manufacturing and research takes much longer to skill and start going, but you're far more likely to at least make a profit, as long as you do a bit of spreadsheeting to double check your investment before going all-in  :P

A large POS tower (Which I assume is what the corp needs?) costs over 300mill. And that's before all the modules to add to it. Anyone want to foot that bill? :P

For getting money, I recommend Industry, tech 2 manufacturing to be precise.
Will take you very long to get the skills and set up

With the rumored changes to research and mass availability of datacores from LP stores rumored to be coming in the next expansion, I'm not sure that now's a good time to freshly start working on that particular pipeline.

Also, is it realistic to make a steady stream of T2 blueprint copies if you don't have a PoS to ensure access to research slots?

Aww I hadnt heard about those changes. Though honestly, datacores are already ridiculously cheap compared to returns on research, so that alone won't be enough to make a dent in it.

As for realistic, well, it works for me because the manufacturing runs are so long. So, while I'm manufacturing the stuff of my previous invention run, I fill my research slots with copy jobs (which are the things that take so long because all the copy slots are always being used), but once the copies are done, its actually easy to find unused invention slots.
