Is there a coalition for Bay12Games members?

There isn't a single coalition per say, capacity is only 5 members after all, but there is a Town that was created by Bay12 folks.

Lands of 1000 Deaths it's called. It's pretty sweet. It's Day 4 and we've built the Pump, Butcher, Upgradable Wall, Search Tower, Factory, and a bunch of defenses including the Interior Wall. Still could do with a Hacksaw though.

The only other problem we have is with a local drug dealer who is getting everyone hooked on his Twinoid.

Shrugging Khan you may want to stop digging your ditch and accept that what you said was pretty damn sexist. Just avoid using language that portrays females as a whole in a negative light.

I think I understand you. I probably heard Descartes first few arguments somewhere in my past. If you remember (or look it up), I was trying to dissuade his first point: that we might be a fleeting dream of a butterfly with an entirely constructed reality.

You've confused Descartes with Zhuangzi, an ancient Chinese philosopher/book. Descartes is the one who took "Doubt all that can be doubted" to its extreme and came out of it with "I think therefore I am."

I know if I were paying better attention I would've been able to avoid this but I've become very busy.

Not a problem. I just wanted to alert the people who hadn't logged in yet that we were in a town and if they had the opportunity to log-in and help with the construction before day's end.

heroic rescue as no limit range , no?

Actually, it only goes up to 2 KM away from town.

The self-rescue goes up to 15 KM.

I've only watched the 2005+ version so I couldn't say if the earlier Dr. Who shows were any good by today's standards. I might try watching them on Netflix if I had the time.

Unfalsifiable therefore unimportant?

Pretty much. However if this reality were an elaborate pseudo-dream set-up it would be easily falsifiable by waking up.

Trying to figure out the difference before then would be chasing an Absolute Truth, something which I regard as a fool's pursuit. If I cannot observe or reason towards a goal then there is nothing to pursue. There's just an infinite supply of what-ifs.

I'm a bit late to the party, but let me try to dissuade this brain-in-a-jar philosophy.

The biggest problem I can see with Solipsism is that, for reasons similar to what you covered, whether the universe exists independently or not it functions exactly the same as if it were independent and physical. To any external observer they would be indistinguishable... so while possible there's little point in considering the brain-in-a-jar scenario as it changes nothing about how we discover the universe we are living within.

You guys haven't chosen a profession yet. If it's possible for any of you to log-in in 30 minutes or less we could use the additional AP.

Personally, I'm hoping we read a rebellion against the Empire or something.

I was kinda hoping something would shake up the political scene as well. We've got no Emperor in the Imperial City and the provinces have always considered regaining independence. It would be a perfect time to initiate a rebellion.

However, my real hope for TES:V is a better Game Engine combined with TES's legendary Construction Set. One that can handle airborn creatures (like Dragons) and have true underwater levels to explore.

I don't think there have ever been dragons in Elder Scrolls, just hints.  The closest we've gotten was Martin turning into one.

And that was only to become the avatar of Akatosh.

Because then your competing with WoW

I wasn't aware that FPS MMOs compete with RPG MMOs on the basis of having a lunch-cost per month subscription.

Or do you mean they never come back to town and get eaten in the attack?

This one. I posted that right before the end of the day and people were sitting right outside when the gate should be closed, without any post to indicate they needed more time for a search. I blame that problem more on apathy than stupidity though. Still rather annoying that people would join a town only to get themselves killed on the first day.
