I have a suggestion to make an obscure workshop more interesting, to allow the possibility (however remote) of acquiring adamantine in non-mountain fortresses, to make rose gold a useful part of the economy, and to further complicate waste management and immigrant relations.
Two new reactions for the Alchemist's Lab:
Transmute Gold from Base Metal
Reagents:
1 lead bar OR 1 iron bar
2 measures of Golden Salve
2 dwarven bones
1 cheese (rotten)
Products:
1 gold bar
Transmute Adamantine from Rose Gold
Reagents:
3 rose gold bars
2 measures of lye
1 measure of Giant Cave Spider venom
1 dwarven skull
Products:
1 raw adamantine
However, I am unsure exactly how to implement this, and whether or not it would completely unbalance the game.
