I am still mining on weekdays. Playing more actively on weekends if I am not away from home.

Will be more active once my Summer patch training is done, just 10 more days.

I am still playing, but in a different timezone. Would love to do mining ops on weekdays and L4 on weekends.

EVE Fanfest 2013 keynote presentation:

http://www.twitch.tv/ccp/c/2208288

It shows the history of the company and what plans they have for the second decade.

Having interest in entrepreneurship myself, the fact that CCP ran out of money when developing EVE but still managed to pull it off is really inspiring. Their staff voluntarily worked for free when that happened and their endeavor eventually paid off. This reminds me of Zappos' success story.

Nothing found on search so I believe this game deserves its own thread.

HARDWARE is the upcoming F2P RTS developed by Blackbird Interactive, established by former Relic staff (of Homeworld, Company of Heroes and Dawn of War fame). Not much details are available now but the arts on the website look amazing. Closed beta application is open.

https://blackbirdinteractive.com/

If I had one thing to complain, it'd that to get guaranteed access to closed beta you have to buy a $99 VIP package (limited to 10,000 registrants). I can't make that decision unless they have something more to show off... I am also not sure how the F2P bit will work.

With that said, this is looking promising and more RTS is always good!

It's not about the game per se (War Z). It's about how the developer have tricked customers by misrepresenting its product.

Do not support these people.

Hi, I am in!

Darkling Wolf has done great work on Cataclysm and he howls so gently.

If anyone is interested, I will sell my Maelstrom to anyone from Bay12 "cheap". I don't want to take a huge hit on it, but I'll eat some of the cost to help get you into Incursions. I don't have the fit here, but email me in game and I will send it over.

I am interested. :D I shot you an in-game mail.

Wulfie, may I suggest we setup the PoS on a Saturday? We'll have more manpower on a weekend usually. Unless, of course, you're working yourself this weekend...

And yes, siegers are my greatest concern. If this venture was as profitable, we would've seen many more similar operations. The fact that we don't makes me think people are aware the risk of being siege being too high.

Could you please explain the mechanism of this lowsec mining PoS to a newbie?  :P

What skills and/or ships are required? I assume you'd want a Blockade Runner to haul the ore to highsec?

I don't know to be honest, I'd assume they can't but that may be wrong.

Based on this video, it doesn't differentiate on/offline modules, so long as they are fitted they will be displayed.

Thanks, good advise. Will a ganker be able to tell if fitted modules are on/off when scanning?

It's a good practice to apply this rule when mining:

1. Dedicate an Overview tab to Battles and set it to show both (non-corp) players and pirates. If a combat vessel is approaching the ore belt you are at, chances are it's a ganker.

2. Always stay aligned to a safe spot.

Anymore else?
