On second thoughts everybody, I think I'll skip my turn. Sorry for any waiting I made you do.

Good luck to the next ruler. :)

Nicely done Devath. I wouldn't have known otherwise, since I thought this game had died.

I should be able to play and write up my turn over the weekend.

3
We may as well wait the two days until his chance to play is officially over now.

4
Yes.

Get ready umiman!

I'm not sure. I'm tempted to vote for the game to be passed on to the next player, but he could log on today for all we know.

So I guess we should stick by the rules and give him his 7 days.

I'm out of ideas then. Guess my dwarves were just thick, and they thought the pit was meant for them and decided to smarten up.

I'll listen to a lot of Nobuo Uematsu's stuff, mainly the soundtracks for Final Fantasy IX and Lost Odyssey.

Though recently I've taken to listening to Turnabout Jazz Soul and Turnabout Orchestra, the jazz and orchestral versions of the Ace Attorney game soundtracks.

Good stuff Duke, good to see our nagging worked.  8)

Interesting idea you had with the millstone. Did you place it as a workshop in the middle of the hall, or did you put it in a lonely stockpile there?

I might start doing that with my artifacts.

If you want to know whether or not there's any stone in your workshops, you can press 'T' and hover over the workshop to find out.

*EDIT*

Just in case you didn't know...

Will they dump them on a stockpile, if you set a stockpile as a dump?

Glutton, your most recent guy probably went melancholy because he was taken by a strange mood and couldn't find all the materials he needed.

As for checking the details of berserk dwarves... I'm not sure how to, sadly.

C'mon Duke! You only have one season to push through now!

And after eating an entire grate made of salt, they'd probably just die of a heart attack anyway.

Good story btw.

I think you might be missing a pit to throw things in.

Try digging a one tile channel and assigning your garbage dump zone as the channeled tile and an adjacent floored tile.

They don't seem to want to dump things if they can't throw them into a pit in my experience.

DF Dwarf Mode Discussion / Re: Retarded Elections

Ha!

Sadly I don't have any REALLY stupid stories to tell, but I'll find it amusing whenever a newly elected mayor will reward his faithful supporters by mandating something they can't make, and then punishing them with a savage beating when they inevitably fail.

Then I'll find it REALLY amusing when they vote him in again next year. Stupid dwarves. -_-
