Probably time to fix our leg since walking around with a javelin in there probably isn't the best move.

After that's fixed we should see if the dead guys have anything of value on them besides the javelins, if we're lucky they might have some kind of info pertaining to why they hate us.

Well crap. These guys are no pushovers!

Time to change tact. We'll switch targets and aim for the one in the front with a good old ice spike while Flax keeps 'em busy. Meanwhile the Vagrant should move to harass the back one so that Sas has time to get off a clean shot.

Despite some risks, this is by far the best move we can make, i think.

Damn i wish we had psychic communication. But oh well.

Now's the time for Flax and the Vagrant to attack.

Hopefully this isn't the part where we regret getting rid of the shield.

We must hurl more magic stuff at him before he can fire off his own spell, and hopefully it will cause him to miss fire.
We could also try to shield ourselves with magic. But i think it may be a better idea to just keep firing.

I don't mind you carving off of my claim, but could you carve E1 and F1 instead, so that it lines up with the other tunnels being carved?

I chose D1 and E1 because it lines up better with the already existing layout and is more efficient in terms of additional tiles needing to be carved to turn it into a proper 2 wide corridor. 1 (D2) in the case of the current configuration, versus 2 with E1 and F1, and doesn't waste the tile already carved by Criptfeind on D3. I think it would actually end up looking worse if i carve it from E1 and F1, plus a little asymmetry never hurt anyone. :P

But if you truly insist on me carving it from E1 and F1, i'll edit my post.

From here on out—until we find a source of Infernal Essence—i am willing to produce and trade Infernal essence in exchange for either 2 Void essence, or 1 Void essence + 1 Fate, if anyone wants some Infernal essence to mess around with. I am also be willing to trade Celestial essence, for either 1 Void essence or 1 Fate per Celestial essence. If i don't currently hold what you trade for, i'll give it to you next turn.

I do not feel as at odds with myself as the Chaos essence i hold does.

Nay, i value the Void more, since i can't absorb it myself, anymore. And i can get fate by combining two Essences.

Oh i see. My bad, i didn't notice Infernal being a core essence. That's what i get for being legally blind lmao.
Ok that settles it then, no question about it, if Infernal is a core essence, that tips it very heavily in favor of me switching to it. So that's what i'm gonna do.

Sadly, no. I want the Fire specifically, for the Celestial + Fire combo. However! If i end up absorbing Celestial this turn, i AM willing to trade some away to you or Cripfiend for the combo of Water + Celestial, which may be very interesting for you. Would either of you want it?

And i think ultimately the question of whether to switch to Infernal comes down to specialization vs. versatility. If i were to switch, i'd replace Void, yeah. Celestial + Infernal affinities would work out thematically fine with some extra character details i had planned.

Zixhil, the Defiler gains 1 Infernal Essence from combining Celestial/Void Essences. Infernal Essence is the essence of malignance and Undeath.
Zixhil, the Defiler has a choice: the first time a spirit creates Infernal Essence they may opt to replace one of their Essence Affinities. Would you like to do so? There is no currently known location to generate this essence, but that may change in time.

The inevitable path taken, but now, a choice lies ahead.

The question now is: Should i do it? i legitimately want others' opinion. Should i switch one of my affinities to Infernal, or just keep the pseudo-affinity for it, by having an affinity for both of it's components?

Also, i want to trade for a Fire Essence. Willing to give any Essence i have. (or Fate, if Fate is tradable :P)

Well, my ultimate goal is to be deeper in the dungeon in that regard, to have my primary area be the kind of a horror/undead themed penultimate area, the kind that, even if the adventurers flee from it with their lives, they'll never be the same, mentally.

But my most immediate idea is, that i've had brewing for a bit, i want to make a cursed library somewhere. Chock-full of (dubious) forbidden knowledge, that slowly corrupts whomever reads from the pages. A tempting target for both the curious and the ambitious. I am hoping to get these corrupted individuals to lure others into the dungeon, or even possibly set up a cult in the halls.
