DF Gameplay Questions / How to empty jugs who contain honey bee royal jelly.

Context: version 0.50.11, i have a hunting based fort, no water, the only source of drinks is trade or beekeeping.
By the second year i realize beekeeping industry is not working after doing some research i get to found up to 100 units of honey bee royal jelly in jugs.
I have tried to dump it with no results.
Tried to use it in cooking but seems like as long there is another option available honey bee royal jelly will not be used.
Only solution i found so far is store a single ingredient in a stockpile have another stockpile with the jelly and link those 2 to the kitchen, but since there is not a way to get those single ingredients come out of their barrels i am stuck there.
Any idea how to get my jugs back?
