Yeah, the whole point of roguelikes is that you can die VERY easily. Winning is just as much about luck as skill.

I speak a teensy, teensy bit of French, but not to the point where I could have any kind of conversation.
English, obviously, though not as fluently as I used to (hey, three years ago I knew what bourgeoisie meant, just the other day I had to go look it up; and yes, I am aware bourgeoisie is French).
A small amount of Japanese, but it's spotty to the point where I can only speak one or two sentences. Like, "Kore-wa empitsu desu?" (Is this a pencil?).

A great idea, but I agree it should be a bloat at best. Although, I think there already are bloats (or Reqs?) for invisible personality traits.

Granted. You manage to piss off the entire world by mocking them in their own languages. Your house is bombed by every nation with the power to do so on the planet. America even lends Zimbabwe a couple of planes so they can bomb your house too. Zimbabwe then uses secret nukes to wipe out America (after bombing your house) and then get nuked by Russia. AHH MOTHERLAND!
