At the dinner
"My thanks to you too, Fae. I am glad that I was invited, although I fear it was not entirely an act of kindness and friendship.

I find myself invited to a dinner with three populares while I am the sole Homo Novus present. I suppose we're here at least in part for business, then?"

”A Hadria, divided by political parties and venomous at their brethren for slights in the senate, is a weak Hadria, and a Hadria I do not long to be in, for long. In war, a man relies on the men standing next to him, I don’t see why our politics should be any different.” the man replied, quite calmly to the dwarf as he pushed himself up. “I am a popalure for as long as their party works for the people, for trade, and for the emperor. But yes, we're here for business, but that isn't as important to me now as you might think...I've spent all day in senate, on business I can afford to take some time off."

Fae idly strode over to the wine, pouring himself out a glass, which he poured out on the ground, muttering a small benediction, before refilling it and mixing in a lot of honey. He took a small sip, before working on a small rollup of Rtun.
“Thank you for coming, Crassius…and pessimism never won the day, as an old book once said.”

The Arteral manor was large and well-built in the Hadrian style. The stone walls were smooth and white with fresh plaster, marked under the eaves with a pleasing wave pattern of blue glass. It had a slowly slanting roof of corrugated ceramic shingles, separated from the rest of the Villas on the street by a wide courtyard, with walls that were topped with spiky, sharp, ornamental bronze railings.
The courtyard itself was filled with pleasant looking and smelling shrubs of varying sizes, but none of the sparse, carefully groomed bushes surpass the height of the thick wall. A narrow path lies heading towards a centermost door, but a servant instead directs the three to the grey stones that winded their way though the garden to behind the house.

A wide and short table with gilded edges sat in a pavilion, surrounded by four chaise lounges. The pavilion itself, made solidly out of some naturally or painted red wood, had curtains of almost see-through, soft cloth. On the table was a few dishes of fruits, lightly seared sweetmeats and bread with crusts of goldish-brown. Beside them was a few wine bottles, a pitcher of honey and a few vessels filled with spice.
In a small platter, beside the wine, beside a lightly smoke firebrand, was a number of thin papers, and fine grey, lengthwise shredded, leaves of Rtun. The heady, aromatic smell of mint wafted from the large pile of herb, into the air of the pavilion.
Fae was dressed simply in a grayish tunic and flared leggings that came down to after the knee, plated with bits of bronze and iron, looking more like armor than a pair of pants. He pushed himself to his feet, shifting slightly in the ankle high boots before smiling in a lazy way. A blond woman, who was lounging with him, gave a small bow and left with slow strides.
“Greetings, fellow senators. Have a safe walk, I hope? I was hoping to take a light appetizer out here, and then move inside once were finished; to let the servants finish up in the dining room. ”

Fae politely, or as politely as he could tapped on Crassius’s shoulder, flashing a small, wry grin. “Care to have dinner with me and Kaeso at my manor tonight?” he asked, stretching his broad arms.

Then a small note was delivered to Kaeso, written in…finely ornamented gilt, somehow, at the end of the senate meeting, inviting the Dwarf to dinner at Fae’s manor. A similar message was delivered to Wulfric Bezar by way of voice. Fae stepped down the stairs, adjusting the tunic he wore, before nodding and asking the Dwarf if he wished to dine with him and two others, tonight.

Fae closed his eyes and slouched back a little more, going silent, and seeming for all the world like he fell asleep. His dwarven guard roused him when the vote went around, and he abstained from voting, before resting back once more.

Abstain from voting.

Fae rested back, saying nothing, merely staring off into the distance as the other argued about war and barbarians and raiding or something stupid. He hid a yawn as a cough, and otherwise just stayed silent, as so many other senators with a lick of sense were doing.
He however, slowly made to rise, before Crassius stood back up to argue once more. He silently flopped back on his seat and waited once more.

Fil, are you asking for a benefit the other characters don't have?

Also, lost my post. I'll have to rewrite it due to the fact my workplace doesn't have Lazarus in the browser.

No I am not.

Firstly: All players may have  a few bodyguards, which basically amounts to +1 or +3 in health. I can't recall. They give +1 strength. Unless this rule was changed with time? I can start with a man who is basically the same as a bodyguard group, like you stared with Sahaain, if I'm not mistaken?

Secondly: Just 'cuz I'm not a dipshit who think I'm am invincible, does not mean I'm asking for something the other players don't have.

Edit: Pardon the typo's. I don't have no spellchecker

Name: Rocyr Faenicu Arteral. Call him Fae, if you're a friend.
Gender: Male
Age: 33
Race:Human
Skills: Charismatic, +1 swordsmanship(Cliché, I know, right?)

Political alignment: Popular (Supports both Mercantilism and Expansion, citing the fact that you need money for the latter, and the first allows you to see new lands)

Appearance:  Fae isn‘t too tall, about average of height, but his frame is athletic and trim. His dusky, tan skin is marked and flecked with scars. His hair is a dull, almost flat black, coming down around his face in small, thin dreadlocks, giving his fine Hadrian features a foreign tint, despite his pedigree. Two eyes of steel grey stare out at the world with a lazy confidence from either side of a sharp, crooked nose. A few scars linger on his face, but none of them are too detracting from his visage.

Spoiler: Bio (click to show/hide)
Spoiler: Other servants (click to show/hide)

Ignore anything that is not acceptable.

Also can my hair be bronze in color?

<3 Ghaz's video. Sheer, bloody awesome.

Also, I liked YAK2 better. But I'm biased, since I was apparently winning. Hell, never knew you could win Yak.

Talinth sighs, putting Karas over his shoulder and moving back to the figures, making sure the masked man is watching over the escape routes.
"Glad to meet you all, mages, priests or sorcerers, however you wish to be called. I took down your guardians and I am searching for answers. I wish to know if you have them."

Talinth interrogates the "mages" about the Plague and the disciple of Liodnya from the Cloven Horn he was sent to find, searching through their objects for useful items he can use himself and detaining the men if needed.

After gathering information either by their good will or after breaking some of their bones, Talinth takes Karas to be tended to somewhere in the city and leaves West to the highest tower, following the letter he was given (this was before Edgard's betrayal, due to time shenanigans).

((I’m gonna let Shoot handle this. Unless he wants me to.))

The man in the steel mask, after insuring the backdoor is well blocked by corpses and that Talinth is done with his interrogation, begins to search through whatever ingredients are laying around for things that induce a deep sleep. He may or many not drag one of the Cloven Horned mages over to help him discover what does what or to make him a potion that does that, provided Talinth allows it.

Attack Karas' pursuers from behind as they are distracted chasing the assassin. Scaring them away and destroying their morale to make them run is also acceptable.
Gain a high position, so that few can reach me in numbers, and snipe our opponents

[1+1] vs. [4]
Karas is quickly surrounded by the two men he failed to kill. He readies his blade and turns to face his opponents. He lunges and tries to kill one of them, only to have his blow warded by the man with the staff.

[1] vs. [3]
A club lashes out, sending Karas to the floor with a nasty head wound. Consciousness fades quickly as he hit’s the wood. The two men raise their weapons for another finishing blow.

[3+2] vs. [1]
Talinth’s worg, however, lunges forward, knocking a man off his feet and sedning him to the floor with a nasty bite.

[2+2] vs. [4]
Talinth’s hammer lashes out at the last man standing, but he dodges out of the way, forcing the knight to block a blow himself in order not to be knocked down.

[1+2] vs. [4]
The staff thuds hard into the knight’s chest, winding him and forcing him back.
(5/6 Talinth)

[6] vs. [3]
And then the staff-wielder is sent flying by a crushing, painful blow of the hammer.

[3] Karas is stable, at the moment, he isn’t bleeding out, and he just seems to have a minor concussion, instead of a full-on broken skull.

[4-1] The three mages or priests, or whatever, have stopped working, seeming to notice the three for the first time, blinking, but otherwise remaining silent.

Marcant heads to Dechire from Stormstead after Talinth is done. Also, he trains stealth and raises a PG, as he travels or something.

Demand an immediate surrender out of the remaining nobles/commanders. Inquire as to the state of affairs in Windheath, if they do not surrender, proceed to forcibly pacify the city; the populace, however, is to be left alone.

In Dechire
"I demand to know the meaning of this, Marshal! What gives you the right to arrest the barons? They have harbored no rebellious thoughts or words until you started driving them into the city! So what is the meaning of this?!" the man in front of the levy calls out as you approach, and you notice that he’s the steward, not the Duc that died before.
“I demand you wait until such a time as the lord is back from his hunting trip to follow through on such an act!”

Also, guys, I know I'm a nobody, but could you at least pretend to see my actions? I was asking a guard for training weapon skill (before Richard got killed), and I also asked for a meeting with you Ardas.
Sorry man. I usually just do Cael's post, or posts where bias is called into question, so I tend to skim over other posts. Can you link me and I'll give it a whirl?

Also: I may not be allowed to do training posts, since I'm a temp-gm or something. When shoot gets on later today I'll bitch 'em out and tell him to roll 'em, deal?

March onto Dechire with my PG, and the Royal Army. Trent is to be given authority over Northwatch and all its holdings for the current itme.

Aim to pacify Dechire, or take hold of its governing nobility.

[1] The barons, hearing word of the army approaching and what it aims to do, flee to the city.

[4] Dechire is calm; or as calm as it can be with a royal army marching on it's leaders. A small levy is produced, more of a bodyguard, than anything and stands in front of the royal army. A banner of grey and bright red flitters above the group, who seem uneasy.
A man, with graying hair and more than a few wrinkles, wearing platemail which bears the same colors of the banners stands in front. He fidgets in the armor, seeming uncomfortable.

Fire my crossbow at one of the robed people, and join Talinth and the Masked Man for the fight
[2] The shot goes wide, plinging off the side of the iron cauldron and hitting the floor, embedding itself therein. The robed figures don’t even look up, continuing to mix and pour ingredients.

Storm the warehouse with the masked man after Karas finishes his scouting task.

Fire my crossbow at one of the robed people, and join Talinth and the Masked Man for the fight
Quote from:  Masked Man
Onward.

[4] The door and window breaks down with ease, dropping the three of you around the group of armed men. They grunt, readying their staves, clubs, and cheap blades, a few eyeing the Worg with worry.
[2] Two of them drop their weapons after a long moment of thought and flee, taking to their heels as they bolt out a back door.
[4+2 vs. 3+1] The man in the iron mask says nothing, circling around to block the backdoor, avoiding the swings of staves and clubs, very nearly being decked more than once.

These men hold their weapons with a grip born of experience ( Expert +1 weapon rolls).
(([4] hp 1 guards with clubs and staves))

Talinth
[2+2] vs. [3]
Talinth lunges forward, hammer swinging through the air. There’s a loud snap, and a man falls to the floor clutching his broken arm and writhing, his sword falling to the floor. Talinth narrowly dodges a swinging staff as it arcs it’s way towards him.
(3/4 Guard’s health)

[1+2] vs. [2]
The knight responds in kind, his hammer sweeping out and sending a man flying after a loud smash. He lays,  breath harsh and short. Each blow in retaliation is blocked by the shaft of his hammer or bounces off of his armor.
(2/4 Guard’s health)

[4+2] vs. [5]
With another sweep of the artifact, one the last men are knocked away with a shattered, broken ribcage.
(1/4 Guard’s health)

[4+2] vs. [3]
The Hammer once more lashes out, sending a man spiraling to the floor unconscious, if not dead. Talinth stands surrounded by a ring of broken men, hammer still held tight.

Karas
[4-1] Guards

[6] vs. [6]
Karas lunges forward with a dexterous stab, only to have the blade of his rapier blocked by a young man wearing a thick vest with a large broadsword. The man’s return blow is dodged by  the much fleeter Karas, the blade sinking into the floorboards.

[4] vs. [6]
While the man with broadsword tries to extract his blade from the floor, Karas stabs at him, only to be batted away by a thick, wooden stave to the side. The leathers soak up most of the blow, but he can still feel a broken rib.
(2/3 Karas)

[3] vs. [5]
Karas draws himself back up, only to feel the sharp bite of the broadsword’s edge digging deep into the flesh of his hip, slicing through the armor and drawing a thick gash.
(1/3 Karas)

[6] vs. [2]
Karas barely dodges a blow from a thick club hurtling towards his head, swiftly impaling the man with the broadsword through the chest, before dodging back from the staff-user once more, only receiving a small impact on the arm that does little damage.
( 2/3 Guards)

[3+1] vs. [4]
In a moment of respite and clarity, Karas swiftly attempts to makes his exit. The three who didn’t fall to his Rapier follow hot on his heels.

Man in the Steel mask
[3] The masked man roll his shoulders, hefting his blade as three of the armed guards approach him. He heaves a weary sigh, before lunging forward.

[4] vs. [2]
Canus’ first stab brutally impales a grizzled looking man through the chest. A kick to the man’s chest follows, pushing him off the blade just in time to block a blow from a club.
(2/3 Guard’s Health)

[3] vs. [5]
However, his other side is unguarded just enough for a small blade to smash into his free arm. He simply grunts as the blade comes away bloody.
(1/3 Canus’ Health)

[2] vs. [1]
Anger flares forth in the (wo)man’s eyes as he suddenly turns, hacking deep into the man’s chest with his blade, slicing through muscle and lung and dropping him to the floor.
(1/3 Guard’s Health)

[4] vs. [1]
The last man attempts to back off, but the blade once more lashes out like a venomous snake, slicing through his unprotected neck and dropping him to the floor, trying to breath through the blood suddenly pooling beneath his fingers.
(0/3 Guard’s Health)

The masked man leans panting against the door, cradling his wounded, bleeding arm.

Caellath
You stumble out of the icy embrace of the pod, falling to your knees as nausea overwhelms your senses. You heave, vomiting out purple bile, which splatters over the floor and slowly heads towards a drain in the floor. After a few, fruitless retches, you wipe your mouth off with the back of your hand. You push yourself to you feet and unholster your Minuteman. There’s silence and a number of empty cryo-pods. Father down the line you notice another man stumbling from a pod. And farther down than that is a man standing beside a door, watching with little to no interest.

Thatkid
You stifle a yawn and ready your Minuteman as two figures stumble out of the pods you’re guarding.  Both retch, but one recovers faster than the other, and staggers to his feet.  And quickly draws his gun, for reasons unknown. The other continues to retch, staying on his hands and knees on the cold, metallic floor. You ready your own, just in case.

Spinal_Taper
There’s silence as you lean in a small alcove. You shiver in your armor, the respirator hissing softly with your every breath, turning the poisonous air around you into the right amount of oxygen and dioxides through a process that’s little more than a miracle. You glances down for a second, before looking back up. There, on a crumbled, cracked chunk of blue construction plastic, is a scaled beast, it’s tentacles lash and twitch, the talons on it’s feet scoring thick gashes on the cheap material.

Mesor
The smell of smoke from Synth-Nicotine and of spilt moonshine fills the air around you as you lounge on the metal, and very uncomfortable, bar stool. Am empty bottle is beside you, reeking of the sugary ‘shine that Jim’s Cantina is known for. A young man wearing a heavy, metallic vest stands by a shotgun, occasionally serving out a drink to one of the many customers.

Ghazkull
You shiver, drawing the thick, insulating greatcoat around you tighter and buttoning it. You shift the heavy pack and gently try to shift the Launcher to ease the pain lancing through your back. It takes a long moment, as your survey the lands around you. Unleveled, grey-ish brown ice extends as far as the eye can see in every direction. Snow drifts down around you, and to the west, you can faintly see a tall, gleaming structure. A platform. Far away, to the north, you notice a figure seemingly unaffected by the cold.

Shootandrun
Harsh winds whips about you, but cold doesn’t manage to seep past your greatcoat, your warm clothing, or your Asgardian Genes, leaving you quite warm and toasty in this hellish, freezing weather. The weight of the weapons on your back do little to slow down your slow trudge.
Unleveled, grey-ish brown ice extends as far as the eye can see in every direction. Snow drifts down around you, and to the west, you can faintly see a tall, faintly gleaming structure. A platform. Far away, to the south, you notice a huddled figure.

Dragor
You’re huddled across from a fellow guard, stupidly put on watch duty along side this speechless grunt. He constantly shivers in his armor, and while you’re doing the same, you’re sure you’re far better at hiding it. He looks down at his feet, shifting in his leather boots, before looking back up. Muscles tense, and you follow his gaze. There, on a hunk of construction plastic, is a Consumption Horror. All tentacles and barbs. It’s talons are digging deeply into the plastic as it sniffs the air.

Ardas
You fall from your pod as the ice finally looses it’s grip on you. Your stomach convulses, and before you can stop yourself, you throw up all over the floor. Pinkish, purple goo drips from your lips as you try, and fail to get control of yourself. Your Minuteman, for some reason held tight in your grip, is dropped beside you.

Tiruin
It reeks of booze, sex, and smoke in this dingy, poorly lit bar. The oxygen, as plentiful as it is, smells sharply of ozone, and a host of other scents that make your nose curl. A young man wearing a combat vest, all expensive metals and thick plating, stands behind a bar, eyes searching for any trouble makers. Jim. The barkeep and bouncer. He found a bunch of sugar and some flavor packs, one day, and started making moonshine, which he sold to the Crusaders who needed to take their mind off of something.

Skyrunner
It’s cold in the wastes, and you trudge along, hoping to get somewhere relatively safe for some actual sleep, since you woke from the pod. It was a hard first few days, here, hiding from consumption horrors and other horrors more human in nature. You stop, slipping behind a rock as you notice two figures in the snow.
One is to the north, and the other is to the south, and is more huddled than the other. Directly west, you can see a gleaming structure, reminiscent of a platform.

begin scouting outside the warehouse for an ingress point.

[6+1] You climb up a nearby wall, scurrying across rooftops quickly and fleetly. Not a single shingle falls, and not a single person is alerted. A single window, set on the roof lets you see in below.
[4] You see a large group of men and women, armed with thick clubs, blades or staves. Three or four people stand around a cauldron that bubbles and churns. They add vials and such to it, silently working.

[6] You get an accurate count of how many people are in the place, it seems like there’s twelve(12) men guarding three cloaked people as they work. However, one of the robed figures glances up at the wrong time, and you can’t pull away from the edge fast enough. He let’s out a cry of alarm and points up. A club breaks the window just as you draw back.
