DF Adventure Mode Discussion / Re: Tower of Necromancers

I'm pretty sure they just are really angry at non-undead, or something like that.

Vampires count as undead. Necromancers are opposed to life, and their non-sentient minions if they had any are also opposed to life.
I know. This post is asking if a tower of multiple necromancers is normal in game and not a glitch.

DF Adventure Mode Discussion / Tower of Necromancers
« on: August 02, 2023, 04:10:31 pm »
I found a necromancer tower, and was going to raid it, but when I walked in and looked for a necromancer, I found 2 in the same room. Since I am a vampire, they didn't attack, and I was able to talk to them. They seemed like normal necromancers but didn't attack each other and didn't leave, and each one had its own room and books they wrote but only one secrets of life and death (that I found.) Overall, there are 3 necromancers (I killed one but no one cared,) is this normal game behavior?

I have too. It's weird, because I only see this happen with dwarves and no other race (I mean animal people could count but they also live there so)
Also, there aren't any civilizations nearby when it happens.

Sometimes not clicking a link is the best thing you can do.

What?  You didn’t like the podcast?

Always gotta worry that there's a Rick Roll in there and if I get Rick Rolled again I'll die just like that Gypsy fortune teller said I would.

There was no Rick Roll there, silly. I tried it myself. A great podcast, highly recommend it!
I, too worry there is a rick roll as the world is a untrustworthy place.
What makes you think there’s a Rick Roll?
Because that's what most people link in places like this, it's tradition.
I have been rick rolled to many times to trust links from people.

You see, I would completely trust you, however when I was about to click the link, the ancient words of my 3rd grade computer class teacher told me to not click on links from the internet made by other people, even though every link is made by people. I cannot betray them since they gave me a lollipop I think, so can you explain how to do it on this forum?
My ancient words still prevail.

I have never touched fortress mode, so I am pretty sure I can't use that to steal a castle.

Have you tried to steal the bandits and stuff them in your backpack before they can throw you?
I did not, however this would prove difficult because not only do only one of my arms work (bandits) but I only have the small wrestling skill of grand master which makes it hard to steal people.

Since you can't take the entire thing at once have you tried to take it a part and put it back together somewhere else?
If I tried this, they would definitely catch me and then throw me or something since some bandits stole my kneecaps and I can't stand anymore. I need a quick way to grab it and go.

You can balance the barrel on one of you feet (here’s a complete Youtube tutorial that runs through how to do it).

I want to use the adventurer I already have, since it's personal for him. Maybe I can persuade (or, more likely, intimidate) a companion to join me and I could put them on my shoulders so we can lift the castle together using the power of friendship and forced labor?

Well first your adventurer needs to be holding a barrel, so make sure to strap your other equipment.
This would be impossible due to my adventurer always needing to hold their weapon to prove their pure strength and superiority to the bandits who constantly try to attack. Is there any way to carry a barrel using their legs or weapon (weapon is a spear)?
