DF Adventure Mode Discussion / Tower of Necromancers

I found a necromancer tower, and was going to raid it, but when I walked in and looked for a necromancer, I found 2 in the same room. Since I am a vampire, they didn't attack, and I was able to talk to them. They seemed like normal necromancers but didn't attack each other and didn't leave, and each one had its own room and books they wrote but only one secrets of life and death (that I found.) Overall, there are 3 necromancers (I killed one but no one cared,) is this normal game behavior?

I found a castle, but the people there didn't like my jokes, so I had to take revenge. Now I'm not much of a thief so I don't know how to do this, but how do I steal a castle? And I don't mean steal position of power, I mean how do I pick it up? How do I put it in my bag with all the people in there and run away? This is important, since I have great jokes and these people are mean, so I NEED revenge.

DF Dwarf Mode Discussion / Can I make my dwarves melt snow to get water?

My dwarves are currently in a cold place with a lot of snow. However, there is not a lot of water sources. Is there a way to make my dwarves make a campfire to melt the snow then drink it? My dwarves are dehydrated so HURRY!!! (Beginner at fortress mode btw so if its simple then still I need the answer)
