UF-IFV-41 « Res » Infantry fighting vehicle

The « Res » is a derivative of the Salamander with the autocannon turrets removed in favour of 6 recoilless rifles mounted in two pairs of three. A steel sheet serves as a backplate to prevent redirect the exhaust downward and protect soldiers standing behind the Res. The goal of the Res is to provide overwhelming fire support at relative close range in places likes cities and jungles as well as providing more punch for beach landings. While the vehicle cannot be reloaded from the inside, doctrine is that six shots to the face of whatever just popped in front of it should make the area safe for reloading either by the crew or by accompanying infantry.

In addition to HEAT and incendiary round, the Res can also shoot the new UF-AP-41 “Nothing Personal” anti-personnel round, an oversized shotgun shell that is devastating against non-entrenched infantry and can in a pinch be used to clear brush providing cover to the enemy (and the enemy).

Macron apparently proposed a program of widespread political reform, including reducing the number of MP by a third, switching to proportional and imposing term limits. I don't really get it TBH, it wasn't a priority for him in his campaign, and those reforms wouldn't strengthen his hand (LRM got 60% of the seats, but only 32% of first-round vote and 49% of second-round vote) so it seems a weird thing to burn political capital on.

General Discussion / Re: UK Snap Election Thread - Darth May
« on: July 03, 2017, 04:59:11 pm »
Speaking of British housing, during the ongoing investigation into the state of fire safety of 600 UK highrise appartments, 181 buildings have already been found to be unsafe, in 50 districts. The problem is more severe and wide-spread than it was assumed to be.
Because of the high number of safety failures already discovered, PM May has told the districts that they do not need to wait for the official inquiry to reach their buildings, instead they are encouraged to start their own investigations right away.

It really tells you how stupidly overcentralized the UK is that the districts needs the approval of the central government to inspect the buildings they own.

Yeah, I've been abstaining from reading turns, but to be honest, if I ever get into a war with someone, I'll be askind if I can PM them or fill them in some other ways.

It seems open to abuse - refugees could be sent away for nothing more than annoying whoever is in charge and it's still pretty much a punishment because it's forced relocation where people are separated from friends/family/home (or something like it).

Well, it is a kind of punishment. The issue is how do you deal with things which are bad, but aren't bad enough that you bother to get the judicial system involved. In a way, it's similar to what would happen with a bully in a school.

Is the max cost of any research project 15,200? (if paid as a lump sum) Or do research base levels start going into the negative?

How did you reach that number?

639
Oh, yeah, 4,5, 5, my bad.

And those don't need to be on the same turn, right? If I invest 500 on turn one, and 300 on turn two, I'll raise the cap by 3 overall, right?

640
By my reading of the rules, it depends on how many people invested the amount. If one person paid it as a lump sum, the cap raised by 3, 4 and 4. If for exemple, the 1150 were split between a guy paying 500 and one paying 650, the cap would raise by three. If it is split in 3 investment of ~380, the cap won't raise at all.

And not five hours ago I heard a man babbling about how people keep drafting up reasons to impeach Trump, but they have no reason to.  People just hate him for no reason, just because he's doing his job!  Well, he also said that Obama was currently overseas assembling an army of Muslims in Indonesia to come and conquer us, so maybe he's not all there.

But still, I can't help but wonder what people would have done if Obama were half this bad.  Imagine if he tweeted a .gif of himself beating up Fox News?

Let's be honest, we would all be cheering.

You didn't vote for your own design 10ebbor?

But it would greatly, greatly help. Give use plenty of experience that will help everything.

Potassium and phosphorus would probably be the things we run out of first. We're not really threatened by P and K depletion for the next centuries, but those would be an issue.
