I think this belongs here, though you probably need to know some German to fully appreciate it.

Did this creature swallow coins or something?

Not unlikely for some kinds of animals. Sharks are known to swallow coals, cans and even Brussels sprouts on rare occasions. I could very well see a hungry beast of sufficient size swallow a person's purse. Of course, a mudcrab with coins is just silly...

Wait, what?
Ahh, you're the guy that will sit in peaceful protest until he gets his hands on nukes and then blows the crap out of the whole planet.

Is there an easy way (without creating another string) to return a backward slice of a string? I tried doing the following but that just returned an empty string.
Code: [Select]
>>> s = 'hello'
>>> s[3:2]
''
Strings are immutable in Python, so you either need to read the string backwards by hand, or create a new string.

What's a reddit?
A type of chair manufactured in Inner-Mongolia. It's prized for it's authentic feel and the noise it makes when one stands up.

I suppose you have done some research on the company for your cover letter (if not, get of your lazy ass, open up their website and look in the press release, company profile and mission statement sections). So, what part of that really interested you?

Actually, it seems that if you tell someone that something they did just isn't right, chances are that you will get everybody mad at you.
Hmm, that would explain people's reaction. But should people react in such a way? Right now, people are acting as if pointing out that a rape joke is distasteful is worse than the joke itself...

Welp, I guess you should report him or something for making a joke you don't agree with.
I could, but silencing someone usually doesn't help in convincing her that she should stop acting a certain way ;)

Anyway, I'm curious as to why you so vehemently defend him. I'm not even asking him to stop making said joke, I'm just pointing out it's not good form to joke about rape. Is it really so offensive to you that the world would be better off if people would stop making this kind of joke?

The entire internet is a joke about ruining someone's life in one way or another. If you're going to get offended at every single comment about something horrible, you may as well just give up on the internet because you will spend your entire day offended.
I appreciate your concern, but that's a decision I'd like to keep to myself.

Someone's a bit sensitive. Are you new to the internet or something?
No, I just won a year's supply of energy drink and I'm going to take advantage of that.

This is true, the interwebs are just like that.
That doesn't make it any less wrong, that just means there are a lot of people doin' it wrong.

date rape is bad
So are rape jokes.
Your point?
What part of "It's horrible to joke about ruining someone's life" don't you understand?

I'm thinking a dumb projectile type probe, intentionally designed to speed through the system. The antimatter would be something like a couple thousand atoms or something.

Using the following relativistic equation for the mass of antimater needed, I get:

1/2 m1 c^2 = m2 c^2/sqrt (1-(v/c)^2) - m2 c^2
m1 = 2 m2 /sqrt (1-(v/c)^2) - 2 m2
m1 = 2 m2 (1/sqrt (1-(v/c)^2) - 1)
m1 / m2 = 2 (1/sqrt (1-(v/c)^2) - 1)
Plotting that yields the following graph:

As you can see, to accelerate a probe to 10% of the speed of light, an amount of antimatter equal to 1% of the mass of the probe needs to be expended. Since the change in mass of the probe is only 1%, we don't need to take the dwindling mass into account, so we can assume the probe needs to take 1% of it's mass in antimatter with it as fuel, assuming 100% propulsion efficiency. For a probe of 10 kg, that means 10 grams of antimatter is needed, which, if taken along in the form of protons, would cost 250 billion dollars (short scale) to make, according to this estimation

There is "retro" and there is just "old". I think "typing" conversation systems are something that should not be rescued from the dustbin of history unless your game AI is turing-test-positive.  :P
Considering that your coplayers in an MMO are (at least supposed to be) Turing-positive, I don't know if that's a good criterion...

Some more tips:
1.) Make sure there are others nearby. Getting asked out is a stressful situation and it helps if she's not all alone.
2.) For the same reason, avoid blocking doors or backing her into walls.
