These tags are mostly leftovers from the days of yore. They’re not really biomes, they just specify wether the creature spawns in the caverns, the cavern pools or the magma pools.

I have a better worse idea. The circus is now filled with crazed elves that will slaughter your entire fort upon breaching the cotton candy.

The circus is now an actual circus, filled with actual clowns. They are completely harmless, and because they cannot fly, they can’t even reach your fortress when you breach the cotton candy, thus completely nullifying the potential risk and punishment for digging too deep.

I know that I’m necroing this topic, but just for those who run into this in the future, it literally doesn’t matter what metal you use for your blunt weapon. As long as it’s non-adamantine, it’ll break bones and pierce armour just fine. They all behave the exact same and silver/platinum aren’t better than the rest. Non-metals are usually inadequate though.

Whenever I encounter subterranean animal tribesmen in fortress mode, they never seem to attack my dwarves, despite being labelled as “hostile” in the creature menu. According to the wiki, they’re also supposed to be seen around meat and tanned hides, but the ones I run into are always just standing around, doing absolutely nothing. Has this been happening to anyone else?

This has happened to me as well. In fact, I got to a population of 200 dwarves and never got a single siege, despite not being on an island.

Yeah, I had figured that this was a way I could do it, but I ultimately decided against it and went instead for solid projectiles with really high density until the myth and magic update gives us more flexibility when it comes to interactions. Thanks for taking the time to reply though!  :)

I’m modding a new creature in and wanted to know if it’s possible in any way to have it shoot a projectile which explodes upon contact with a creature or the terrain. Is there any way that I can do this?
