Not to interupt the 999 discussion, but I've been poking around Netflix and found Rin: Daughters of Mnemosyne. Quite short, but it was certainly interesting. Also bloody and the first episode was really gross at one point, but the rest were relatively fine. Has anyone else seen it?

Yes. I liked it.
The way it portrays immortality in a bad light, as a negative thing, was interesting.

Does it at least run better than some of the other Paradox titles? I've tried to play EUIII on a few different computers of various capability and it runs terribly on all but the best one.

If you need to, you can turn off trees in the settings.txt. The performance shoots up considerably.

I thought Danganronpa was getting translated and released in North America and Europe next year.

It is, but I don't have a Vita/PSP/whatever it will be released on, so I will stick to the anime and Let's Play.

Fair enough.

So, what's the deal with Psycho-Pass? Anyone have words to say about it?

Actually, there is only one good strategy against FP. Once one is sighted, the whole team focus all its firepower on it till it's dead. There's subtleties on how you do it (like what you said), but that's basically it.

I wouldn't agree with that personally.
If you are dealing with everything well and can handle it properly I would say the Commando should instead focus on mopping up the rest of the nearby horde so that when the Fleshpound drops you aren't suddenly swarmed. The assault rifles don't do a particularly good job of damaging them anyway, leave the Fleshpounds and Scrakes to the big guns.

Maybe I'm wrong but I find that since we started doing that we've done significantly better and died less frequently.

The missing space could be caused by fragmentation or system restore shadow copies. Vista in particular can have problems with going crazy on both fronts and eating up 30+ GB.

It isn't that bad. The show does everything it attempts to.

There is no guilt in this pleasure.

Well I'm not saying I didn't enjoy it, I love silly hotblooded shenanigans.
It's hard to find stuff that goes as over the top as I'd like, unfortunately.

It was certainly not amazing but some of the scenes are so ridiculous it can be worth watching if that is your kind of thing.
Like the scene where Hideyoshi splits the sea by punching it, or when Takeda rides up a castle wall on his horse while standing.

The show is no work of art, has a lot of shonen bullshit and filler and the games are quite better. The best part is the engrish, the physics breaking, and some of the music.

The anime stopped at the end of the first arc and did not get continued beyond.
The plan of the movies is to extend past that point and eventually cover the entire series, if they are successful enough.

For all those so inclined, the third Berserk movie appears to have been released.

Ike -> Chrom - While difficult to incorporate Chrom's moveset to not be a clone of Marth's, it fits the natural progression that Pokémon may have with the Mewtwo slot.

To be fair Ike actually behaves exactly like Marth in his respective Fire Emblem title, so they are not against completely changing fighting styles.

Removal of Wolf, De-Cloning Falco - Star Fox really doesn't need 3 slots for variations of 1 character, and it would be nice if Falco became more unique

I liked Wolf. He was much more different from Fox than Falco was, with significantly more weight and impact.

As long as we're asking for awesome people who'll never get in, I want CAPTAIN GORDON, DEFENDER OF EARTH!

Oh fuck yes.

Robo, Glenn, Magus or Ayla (Chrono Trigger)

I vote Ayla.
Exactly what Smash needs is a muscled up cavewoman in a wolf pelt two-piece.

Ghost Hunt is about half and half.
They spend most of an arc searching for clues, utilizing equipment, researching, investigating, and interviewing people. The rest is crazy ghost stuff and Naru being Mr. Genius Man.
I liked it well enough (Especially the Bloodstained Labyrinth arc), but I found the conclusions for the chapters tended to be anti-climatic and the ending was a facepalm.

So if you can enjoy a show for the journey and not just the destination and can deal with a lot of shoujo, it's entertaining.
Also that ED song.

It is mostly this. The fans of the SMT series are small but deeply devoted. Then Persona happened (well specifically Persona 3 and 4) and suddenly SMT becomes stunningly popular and they are outnumbered a thousand to one, Persona being to them a side game.

So there is a lot of fighting between the groups. The SMT people fighting for their little slice of the pie and Persona fighting for their respect. So in this case SMT fans just constantly rant and rave that "if a persona character gets in it will be a slap in the face" and all that.

The main SMT fanbase doesn't care about Persona and the main Persona Fanbase doesn't care about SMT... But the smaller subgroups and the trolls just make the conversations annoying...

I never knew this, actually. I've been a fan of the series for a fair number of years now and own five of the titles, and enjoy both SMT and Persona.
A series is allowed to have games of multiple styles within it's blanket. Do they also get butthurt over the Devil Summoner: Raidou Kuzunoha games for being realtime action, or Devil Survivor for being strategy RPGs?

In terms of characters for Smash, I would definitely like to see someone from Castlevania. Simon Belmont or Alucard would be the obvious choices, but Soma Cruz or Shanoa would also be cool (though entirely not going to happen).

Lyn from Fire Emblem: Sword of Flame is another impossible one to play especially since she is already an assist trophy, but would make a neat high speed attacker. Alternately Gilliam because I don't care what people say, he is the best General in Fire Emblem.

Also Rosalina.

I really enjoy Nichijou, and I think pretty much any fan of anime would too. The art is magnificent and its always hilarious, especially when subbed, since the humour is highly visual and the japanese voice actors do a great job of conveying emotion, so you'd hardly even need to read them anyways. Its honestly the funniest anime I've ever seen, and there's exactly zero smut or fanservice and I prefer it that way.

A lot of people compare it to Lucky Star, but the jokes in either show are worlds apart, imo.

EDIT: Speaking of dubs, what are some of the best dubbed shows you've ever seen?
Off the top of my head, probably Trigun, Ghost in the Shell, and Cowboy Bebop. Those shows are ones I'd never watch subbed.

Nichijou is certainly in my opinion the best slice of life show I've seen. A lot better than Lucky Star, and leagues better than K-On.
Honestly, if you made the uguu~ little girls into boys, do you think people would watch K-On? I feel they wouldn't, at least not the main demographic for it.

And for good dubs, Black Lagoon.
